Found a little hidden gem in Cambridge, Ontario! 🦋

The Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory honestly felt like stepping into a fairy tale. Hundreds of beautiful butterflies flying freely, the soothing sounds of waterfalls, and little birds roaming around made the whole experience feel so magical.

It's also a fantastic activity for kids! Beyond the butterfly garden, there are two insect rooms where you can get up close with all sorts of fascinating creatures, from tarantulas and scorpions to beetles, centipedes, moths and crickets.

A lovely little escape from the usual routine and such a fun way for kids to explore nature. If you're looking for something different to do near Toronto, this is definitely a must-visit! 💙💜

To everyone praising me for managing it all alone… lol, if only you knew 😭😂 Some days we thrive, some days we barely survive, and some days we’re just winging it! Forever grateful for an easygoing, supportive husband who makes this whole juggling act a little easier. 🤎

Chai is not just any tea, it’s a feeling. It’s the hours spent talking, the laughter that fills a room, the stories we never get tired of hearing, and the comfort of having our people around. Growing up back home, chai was always an excuse to sit together a little longer. And sometimes, one cup is all it takes to miss home a little extra. 🤎

Expat Pakistanis, attendance lagwao!

I still remember the emotions I felt when she brought me her very first little card addressed to me.

I looked at it and asked her, “This is beautiful, baby girl. But what does it say?”

And she said, “Mom.”

I can't explain what I felt in that moment. I've received so many cards in my life, but this one was different. My eyes filled with tears, and I was so happy I could barely put my feelings into words.

We play a little game while reading storybooks. I'd ask her to find a word, and she'd look for it on the page. One day, she asked me to find the word “mom.” Then she learned to recognize “mommy” in another book.

I had no idea she was remembering those words until she brought me that card. I had never asked her to write “mom.” She learned it on her own.

And there she was, my little girl, showing me something she'd made with her own hands. Those tiny, imperfect letters meant more to me than I could ever explain.

Since then, she's made me three more cards. One when she missed me at daycare, one when she wanted me to notice her feelings, and one to thank me for spending time doing crafts with her.

Each card tells a different story. Each one reminds me that her little feelings are so much bigger than they may seem.

But that first card will always be the most special to me.

Because before she could write so many other words, she learned to write the one that meant me.

MOM. 🤎

Just a little Sunday thought…

I was thinking about all the things I need to do, all the things I’m figuring out, and all the things I wish were different. Then I looked at the autumn leaves and realized how much I’ve been rushing.

Maybe life has its own timing, and I don’t have to figure it all out today. 🤎

I needed a good, sturdy, heavy duty bag for university. Something cute, practical, and big enough to carry all my everyday stuff.

I kept seeing such good reviews about the @toryburch Perry tote, and it looked sturdy enough for everything I actually need to carry, so I finally went for it.

I’m a brown bag girlie, but this colour just got me. It feels a little different while still being super easy to wear with everything.

So far, she is looking pretty chic and beautiful. Now let’s see how she holds up with actual university and mom life. 🤎
