Three months postpartum, two dinner clubs and a whole lot of love - endlessly grateful for the village of woman around me 🌹 by @crystalhulett

Two months of our sweet baby boy, James Judah Sawyer 🩵

Before we knew he was a boy, he came to us in our dreams. One night, I dreamt I had given birth to a baby boy and spoke to him. The very next night, Steve had a dream we had a baby boy, who started speaking to him, but in his dream, he told us his name was James

Our greatest blessing & adventure yet
Thank You, Lord, for choosing us to be his parents by @crystalhulett

I thought I was watching my body change. But all along, I was watching my heart grow.

The Lord was knitting together more than a little boy. He was growing a mother.

Looking back at these moments, I’m overwhelmed by His faithfulness. This has been one of the hardest & best year of my life - I found out I was pregnant and a couple days later had to say goodbye to my Grandfather, the first loss I ever knew. Following that we got married, the next day we were saying goodbye to my dog Ghost , my best friend and a loyal family member. A couple weeks later to find out my father’s cancer has come back and he’s now currently in treatment in the US as I post this.

Growing you will always be one of the greatest gifts He’s ever given me in a season that was one of the hardest and most confusing I’ve ever known.

You were the light God gave me in the middle of it all. by @crystalhulett

Some seasons change your life forever. This one made us a family 💛 All glory to God!

✨ Welcome to the world baby Sawyer ✨

What a year it has been. From becoming husband and wife, to becoming home owners, to welcoming our precious baby into the world, we can only stand in awe of the Lord’s faithfulness.

On 15 July 2026 at 9:52am, after 12 hours of labour, our beautiful little boy arrived weighing 3.47kgs, our hearts are so full and in awe of this blessing.

A special thank you to our incredible midwife, Melissa (Belly Blessings) , and our wonderful doula, Naomi. There were moments during labour when I truly questioned whether I could keep going, but your guidance and wisdom gave me the confidence to keep pressing on. We will forever be grateful for the way you cared for us and helped welcome our little boy into the world 🙏💛

And to my husband…

Happy belated birthday to the man who become a father just days before celebrating 32 years of life @steviesawyerr 💫

What a gift it has been to watch you become a father, youre such a natural. You never left my side throughout the night and through every contraction even when it brought tears to your eyes . Your unwavering love carried me through one of the hardest and most beautiful days of our lives.

Watching you hold our son has been one of the greatest gifts I’ve ever received. He is so blessed to have you as his dad, and I am eternally grateful to walk through this life beside you.

We don’t have all the words for what we’re feeling yet.

We’re simply overwhelmed with gratitude.

A little late to this post, but some moments deserve to be remembered.

SA Champs 2026 will always hold a special place in my heart 💛 - 7 months pregnant, surfing two events, stepping into the commentary booth for the first time, and soaking up a week of competition before life began to slow down. It turned out that my SA Champs final was the last surf my little boy and I shared together before giving my body the rest it deserved.

Grateful to finish with a 2nd at SA Champs and 3rd on the WSL Africa rankings. While it brought an end to my undefeated run since 2018, it reminded me that some seasons are about so much more than results.

Also sharing the week with family - @steviesawyerr , my Auntie Phil (a true legend in the surfing community, representing SA in the 60s) and I all bringing home silver in our divisions.

Now I’m enjoying my time watching the winter from the beach in JBay and counting down the days until we meet our little surfer, and dream about the waves we’ll one day share together.

What a special chapter 🫶💫

Meet the ‘Mama’th.

A 10’2 performance glider hand shaped by @steviesawyerr - my husband using every inch of a 10’2 blank to create this board that carries speed, trims effortlessly, and turns beautifully. A performance glider of my dreams 💭💕

Paired with the Hulett’s 10” fin from @jbayfindesign , it’s been my trusted companion with this model.

Special thanks to @jbaytvofficial for capturing this journey and documenting my progress in the water throughout my pregnancy - An exciting project is slowly coming together behind the scenes, and I can’t wait to share it with everyone soon 💃🏼 by @crystalhulett

Been a little quiet on here lately… just soaking in this season and taking it all in 💛

We are beyond blessed to be welcoming our little boy into the world this July, and I already love him more than words could ever explain. Growing him, praying over him, and dreaming about the life ahead has been the sweetest gift & most amazing experience.

@steviesawyerr , you’re going to be the most incredible Dad. I cannot wait to watch you with our son and to see our little family grow together ✨

This year I’ve moved to Jeffreys Bay and this place feels so special to me. I’ve fallen in love with the people, the community and the lifestyle here. Our little boy is so blessed already to be surrounded by so many amazing people, and for that, I am endlessly grateful.

You are so loved already baby boy 💛✨

Thank you Jesus! by @crystalhulett
