🎨 Pippy Houldsworth Gallery in Mayfair presents 'The Family Katz', a solo exhibition by painter Liorah Tchiprout.

Tchiprout brings together a series of portraits depicting a fictional Jewish family, the Katzes, and their social circle, based in their home near Gunnersbury Park, London. This is a new development in the artist's practice, moving away from painting small, hand-crafted mannequins.

The exhibition is on view through Saturday, 3 October:

🎹 On another musical note, pianist Tal Walker released his second solo album, ‘Clair-Obscur’, last
Friday.

https://www.antarctica-records.eu/release/clair-obscur

The album brings together solo piano works by Lili Boulanger and Gabriel Fauré, pairing Boulanger’s shorter pieces and her theme-and-variation cycle with Faure’s own works in the same forms, placing light and darkness in constant dialogue throughout the programme.

Walker’s playing suits this repertoire organically, his interpretation capturing every harmonic nuance with great delicacy and sensitivity.
