🙋🏻‍♀️ Raise your hand if you started posting about the books your reading then met the absolute best women?

Thank you to everyone who reached out with messages and comments on my 38 recs post! I truly enjoy spending my time chit chatting about the books I’m reading, and supporting the indie authors and small businesses that make this space so wonderful.

@pickleandgusprints is the talent behind the newest additions to my shelf • the sports romance street sign, book counter and baseball ticket commissioned by @jp.reads.smut and @lattes.andlore

✨ WIP WEDNESDAY • Act Like It

Ok - easier said than done. My coach and I set some new baby goals for October:

1. Increase my average sleep by 30 minutes (I only average about 5/night despite a reasonable bed time)

2. Eat my damn breakfast.

One small immediate change to start: I’ve set several alarms to remind myself to do the things to try and help me pack my food, and pull me from what I’m up to eat.

SOS - working out in the am is best for my schedule and energy, but I need to improve my sleep, so I’m also working on managing my time better.

My DMs are open if anyone else has troubles sleeping or prioritizing eating in the morning. If you have some tips that work for you, I’m all ears too!

💚 Finally Home, a multi POV update, by @author.katiebeck is out available now!

The Haven Bay series (Coming Home and Choosing Home) is available on Amazon today for $0.99! Go download this fun small-town romance series set in Canada • here’s a little bit of info from my quick finger tips about the books:

Book 1: Coming Home is a childhood bff story, where Matt finally gets his chance with Avery. Matt is a golden retriever, green flag guy and Avery is the guarded newly single mom, that doesn’t want to ruin the friendship you know? She’s got her son to think about. I love when a man steps up for a single mom and the relationship between him and the kids. Ugh my heart. This one is so cute, has some spice, and sets the stage so well for the series.

Book 2: Choosing Home was my absolute fave!! We get the story of Luke (Matt’s brother) who is the grumpy stick in the mud police officer (que eye roll cause I’m married to this guy lol) and Jolie who is loud, wild and free but struggles with her mental health (ok, familiar). Anyways, we get the same quirks, more spice, a snowed in night at the hotel with a hot tub. I love stories like this that make me laugh, and hold on tight in a few ways.

If you need a read to be a small break from your holiday ARCs, a cleanse of a pallet after your recent Halloween run or to try out new author to close out your year? Katie’s your girl.

👏🏻 WIP Wednesday • Taking the Space I Need

I’m one month in being set up with @gfit_wellness again with coach @perimotofit and many goals have been achieved so far!

✅ consistent counselling
✅ physical fitness insights all on the rise
✅ more time spent in my workout room than on my couch
✅ huge validation from a treating medical professional this month (finally)

It’s really hard to be navigating so many personal and professional ✨responsibilities✨ I hope that prioritizing myself will continue to help me be the best me for those important people in my life.
