When @bridgetramey announced her “Reel-estate” challenge, I couldn’t resist.

Here’s my take and Volume One of What Makes It Custom.

This Pemberton Heights custom home is, as Bridget put it, “dripping in specification.” And it shows. Every detail reflects the thoughtful work of @kalantarigroup, @samburcharchitect, and @risingerbuild.

Wood-paneled refrigerators (yes, ✌️) hiding in plain sight. A marble-encased pantry. A Calacatta Viola bartop with integrated sink. Shiplap running straight up the staircase. Trimless mud-in lighting throughout.

Thanks for the tour and the challenge, @bridgetramey!

I’m Kaeleen Weiser with @customhomeapproved, representing building products and services to custom home builders, architects, and interior designers across Central Texas.

Because the details are what make it custom.

The reason behind my costume… and dressing up my four legged friend, was to send an email out to all of you! If you’re a custom home builder, architect or interior designer on my list, it’s likely you’ve seen this photo already. A fun image and links leading to “treasure” (a product in my portfolio). If you’re in the industry and haven’t received it and would like to take a peek, drop your email here: https://customhomeapproved.com/#connect-form by @customhomeapproved

One minute is not enough for this house, and I am not spoiling the best of it for you!

This is DMB Custom Homes’ Parade home at The Reserve at Middle Creek in Fredericksburg.

Yes, the freestanding soaker tub under the full height window is in there. The rest you have to walk yourself.

The Parade runs one more weekend, Oct 24 and 25.

Speakeasy vibes @themarketplaceatx this evening! So great to see some familiar faces and meet new faces! I hope to recognize y’all without costumes! by @customhomeapproved

When you love what you do and you’re building something you believe in, logging the extra office-hours around everyday life is worth it.

Tonight‘s tasks: product sheets and learning new lines, so I can bring real support and resources to the builders I work with.

Tell me, are you a night owl 🦉 or an early bird 🌅??

What do y’all think, would Austin benefit from an officially designated Design District?

Our second Design n’ Dine in the books. Excited to keep these intimate dinners going. We get to know each other, hear what’s happening in the industry and each other’s lives. Topics of conversation seemed to lean toward the noticeable changes Austin has seen over the past 10-15 years and what helps get good sleep 😂🤠 Change is inevitable, good sleep is a must!! by @customhomeapproved

It was fun presenting in Houston, Texas today! Architect shout out 🤠 @momentarchitects 🙌🏼 The residential and commercial architectural design work this team is producing is impressive and we look forward to the opportunities ahead. by @customhomeapproved
