Handlettering designer and muralist, wife of a pilot and mother of three. Helping small businesses stand out in a digital world! Culpeper, VA

POSTS STORIES REELS

I was born in New Mexico and lived just outside of Roswell for the first 10 years of my life. Places I’ve lived after include the White Mountains of Arizona, Bristow VA, The Gila Valley in Arizona, Idaho, Utah, Texas, Gainesville VA, and now Culpeper VA.

Besides my first 10 years in New Mexico, Culpeper is the place I have lived the longest! I love this little town. I love that I get to share my talents with wonderful clients and their businesses to help them stand out and beautify downtown.

🌸 Spring in Virginia is nearly here! Blossoms are blooming and I can start wearing sandals again. This spring I have the amazing opportunity to add more life and color to downtown by painting a power box in the heart of downtown. I’ll be sure to document and share everything here. by @cwittodesign

Hello! It’s me!

I am a born artist, educated graphic designer, self-proclaimed handletterer, and client-acclaimed local professional.

I was born in Roswell, New Mexico and have also lived in Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Texas, and Virginia. Culpeper, VA is where I now call home.

I have been married for 15 years and have three children, and two bonus foreign exchange daughters from Brazil and Germany, and two guinea pigs!

I love RUSH, Coldplay, Devin Townsend, Boston Terrier dogs, prey mantises, otters, frozen butter beer, cheesecake, and staying up late binging TV shows with my husband.

My three keywords are creative, genuine, and authentic. I strive to help my clients be all three of these things through my work! by @cwittodesign

What a fun surprise this was yesterday! I knew it was coming but didn’t know when.

Here is the full newspaper feature of the dealership mural and my business. A big “THANK YOU” to all the good people who…

…referred me (@greenroost )

…hired me (@battlefieldfordculpeper )

…assisted me (Kelly at @artjamculpeper, @sharonsloop, @tiffaniemakesthings, and @laurastarrlinger)

…featured me (Emily at Culpeper Star-Exponent news)

…and followed along and supported me here (YOU).

“Team Typography” brought the fun to the town’s mural workshop 👻

Thank you @joewhitephotog for capturing these. by @cwittodesign

Look at these fantastic people I got to work with for the past month!

Through the Town of Culpeper’s “Make A Mural” workshop series, I led a team of 6 other local artists through the process of painting a mural. Our objective was to bring the spirit of downtown Culpeper onto our wall using typography and bold imagery.

Find this wall and its two sister walls at Heritage Park in Culpeper, VA, right across the train tracks from the end of Davis Street.

Thank you @joewhitephotog for the pictures!! by @cwittodesign

The drawing prompts of Inktober from last year! I kept this little sketchbook (gift from @nataliehefnerart) in my purse and brought it out during small moments of peace in between activities and driving kids around. by @cwittodesign

I know it’s tempting! 😄

With the client’s permission, I left this note on their chalk mural after I came in to fix smudges. by @cwittodesign

I just recently went on a girls trip to Lake Anna. We got pedicures, painted, baked, cooked delicious food, successfully finished an escape room, spent every evening enjoying the sunset over the lake, and watched so many chick flicks. “Ever After” was the last movie of the trip. That classic is filled with so many quotable lines, I had to turn it into a little piece of art. This is how I spent my time watching the movie 😍✨🎥 Which movie should I do this to next? by @cwittodesign

✨EDIT: Event is SOLD OUT ✨

Come learn first-hand how to create a mural! Join me and local legends @laytonscarbroughart and @kat.tines this September and October for a four class workshop series. I will put the link in my bio and also share it in my stories. Only 18 spots available! by @cwittodesign
