SparkSpace is a Caribbean arts initiative built to make creative opportunity accessible to communities of all ages, from children to seniors. We create free arts, skills, and community engagement programs, we build local capacity so programs outlast us, and we start in Grenada and grow from there. 🇬🇩

Our first program is In Focus, a 3-week free photography pilot for youth ages 13–17 in St. George, Grenada. 😋

Dear 24 year old me,
Whew chile, what a year it has been! You loved, you learned, you laughed and girl you LIVED😝! I am sooo proud of you and all your accomplishments. You experienced things you prayed for. Yes, there were some hard times, but you handled them like a champ💪🏾. I’m astonished by how much you’ve grown over the past few years.

You chose yourself more often, even when it was uncomfortable. You learned that growth isn’t always loud or pretty, sometimes it looks like rest, boundaries, and walking away. You learned how to trust yourself more, even when things didn’t go exactly as planned. You showed up for yourself in ways younger you only dreamed of.

And look at you, getting back in your creative bag! Creating for the joy of it, not perfection. Letting yourself explore, make mistakes, and fall in love with your hobbies again😋. That alone healed parts of you that didn’t even know they were hurting.

I hope you continue to chase the things that light you up, protect your peace, and believe that you are always deserving of love, grace, and everything you ask God for. The best is truly still ahead. Cheers to quarter of a century 🥂✨ by @thedoexperience

I’ve been thinking about turning this into a series… 👀 something like The Hobby Chronicles — a little corner of the internet where I fall back in love with my hobbies again. Sewing, painting, dancing, making a mess and calling it art 😅

This first video? Kinda embarrassing lol. I almost didn’t post it because hearing my own voice makes me wanna fight the air 💀 But I made these pants (kinda), and even though they didn’t fit… I’m still proud because I haven’t sewn in forever!

Vulnerable post 🙃
I’ve been keeping my baby hidden from the world for a while now.
Her name is “Tears of Imperfections.”

All my life, I’ve chased perfection. Being the perfect daughter, friend, sister, cousin, student……. Somewhere along the way, I lost sight of who I really am. Fear crept in. Fear of not being accepted in all my layers. That fear has cost me a lot: missed opportunities, failed starts, and dreams I never gave myself permission to pursue. And truthfully, I have no one to blame but me.

But recently , I chose to create again.
To go back to the version of me who made art without pressure. Who loved abstract because of its chaos and fluidity.
I let the colours move me. I silenced the perfectionist in me. Every “mistake” on this piece became a moment of magic. And I fell in love with the freedom, the movement, the being.

These aren’t tears of sadness.
They’re tears of joy—honouring the beauty in every flaw.
Even the upside-down orientation of the crown intrigued me, and when I looked it up, I learned it can symbolize a rejection of norms and a challenge to power. That hit home, because I didn’t even plan it, but my spirit clearly knew what it was saying.

If you’ve read this far, my prayer for you is simple:
In a world obsessed with perfection and impossible standards, may you choose to be real.
To love your flaws. To celebrate your detours.
Because perfection is an illusion, and your imperfections are your power.
