Shoutout to @ad.pdx for capturing these moments from our show on Sept. 24th, 2025 at @eatcho's studio in the North Coast Seed building . The atmosphere was laid-back but electric—dim lights, a room full of energy, and the temperature TROPICAL.

Big Papa Warrior & J-Magic and the Prehistoric Futurists brought their melodic, hypnotic jazz-laced boom bap to close out the summer in style.

Appreciate everyone who came out and supported the art and music. Catch us at Hungry Hungry Hip-Hop at the Atlantis Lounge in November!

Studio Sugarchurch Presents:

Next Wednesday, September 24th, join Big Papa Warrior & J-Magic and the Prehistoric Futurists as they bring their classic boom bap jazz rap to Studio Sugarchurch on N Albina!

Along with their live performance, they’ll be selling the last remaining copies of their debut album Dinosaurs—on vinyl! These limited edition copies feature eye-popping hand-drawn cover art by Eatcho, and each one is signed by the artists. Get yours for $50 before they’re gone!

The night will kick off with a special premiere of their music video for "Dream Deferred," filmed on a vintage Hi8 camcorder on the porch of the Cosmic Taco Beach Shack. The video celebrates the music that inspired the album and serves as a testament to the power of believing in—and pursuing—a lifelong dream.

You’ll also have the chance to view original paintings by Jeremy Okai Davis (AKA J-Magic), and check out Eatcho’s incredible illustrations, all available for purchase. Plus, Chula Charmer will be there with her witchy wares!

Food and drinks will be available, and more vendors will be announced soon.

First time I went to the the Louvre I remember thinking to myself. “Ok, so you won’t end up in jail like a statistic. Cuz niggas that go to the Louvre don’t go to jail.” Months later when I landed back in LA and driving home from LAX, I was racially profiled by a cop going the opposite direction. He made a U turn and pulled me over for a burned out TAIL LIGHT(???). He ran my DL and found a warrant for an old ticket. I went to jail like a statistic. When I went to court the next day, the judge apologized for the arrest and threw out the ticket.
Lesson learned: Niggas that go to the Louvre still go to jail. taken in Musée du Louvre by @cosmictacobeachshack
