Exploring different flavours of life! ;)
POSTS STORIES REELS
One year ago today, I landed in the UK with three suitcases, 50 kgs and a heart full of dreams.😃 It was 15th September 2025. I still remember how scared and excited I was at the same time, landing in Manchester, a city I had only seen in pictures, about to start my life at the University of Manchester. @officialuom Being the only daughter, leaving was the hardest part. But my parents never told me to dream small. They trusted me enough to let me fly. I have lived away from home since I was 18, but this was different. This was moving my whole life to a different continent, alone, with no job, no contacts, just hope. When I came here, I knew I had to make it work on my own. Working part-times, doing internships, paying my own bills, managing studies, work, life all by myself. Early mornings, late nights, and everything in between. Unlike many international students I lived a good life. I travelled, I explored, I made memories. I worked hard and I lived hard too. This little accommodation, "Grafton-37A" in the photos, I left it just a month ago. But it saw everything this year. It saw me crying for home, it saw my lowest days, it saw my job rejections and my wins, it saw me prepping up for the next phase of my life. That room was my first home here. This one year changed me completely. It broke me and it built me. There were days I missed home so much and days I felt so proud of the woman I was becoming. Today I am not the same girl who landed at MCR with fear. I am more independent, more confident, more strong, more free. More me!!! <3 [India To UK, International Student, Life In Manchester, Study Abroad Diaries, Life In The UK] by @d_for_dona

My first international flight was a 15-hour journey (ofcourse with a layover) and let me tell you, I made the most of it! 😂 Ate way too much (and loved every bite!), blasted Taylor Swift and Lana Del Rey, and managed to get some disturbed sleep lol. I'm pretty proud of myself for surviving it without too much fuss. Guess all the food helped. Hahhha 😅 Also, a 10/10 for @emirates!! ❤️ . . . #wanderlust #adventureseeker #doyoutravel #travelmore #goexplore #wonderfulplaces #openmyworld #lovetotravel #adventurethatislife #internationalflight #foodgasm by @d_for_dona
