When Daman Thakore was three, his father bought a 1950 MG and called it Lal Pari, Red Angel. That car stayed in his family for decades. Then one day, a question stayed with Daman: why had only Westerners driven vintage cars from India westward? So three generations climbed into Lal Pari. His father, now seventy-eight. Daman and his wife, who works in the family business. Their daughter. They drove the car back to England over 73 days. No sponsors. Just a family who decided their story mattered enough to tell it themselves. The journey was brutal. Mechanical failures. Extreme heat. Every border crossing is a negotiation. By the end, 50,000 people had stopped to witness an Indian family bringing a British classic home. A boy who grew up beside Red Angel became the man who drove her to her birthplace.
