Seen here: Riah Colonial Laboratories GRK-660 Mongoose Littoral Combat Mobile Suit of the 332nd Colonial Guard Unit, Ontario, Side 6. Following a Zeon Incursion in UC0080, the GRK-660 technology demonstrator went into full production utilizing numerous “off-the-shelf” systems as well as incorporating several mechatronics “acquired” from Federation and Zeon sources. Deployed in a decentralized manner throughout Side 6, S6CG units can provide a rapid response to colony incursions by bad actors. Mongoose units are divided into ground forces deployable from scattered urban locations - using footwear friendly to the built environment and littoral units deployed in and around docking points and vacuum with limited range as they are defensive in nature. At 3/4 scale to typical front line mobile suits used by Federation and Zeon forces alike, the Mongoose avoids compromising Riah’s neutrality stance as its “near-shore” mission isn’t suitable for offensive operations (officially). As such, it is classified as a counter-insurgency Colonial Guard weapons platform. However, the diminutive machine is exceptionally agile against typical adversaries. It is armed with two shoulder mounted beam cannons - akin to 1st gen beam rifles, and a 140mm anti-armor rifle with 250 rounds in a helical magazine. Additionally, optional load-outs exist for extended or alternative mission profiles. Mongoose units train for swarm attacks against full size Mobile Suits to make up for deficiencies in 1V1 engagements due to their size and range limitations. The S6GC forces became fully operational on 18 November UC0082. #gundam #mobilesuitgundam #fanfiction #damonmoran #2dillustration by @damon_moran

On 6 October, 2085 11:35:40 UTC the STARGAZE spacecraft (Saturnian Transit Astrobiology Research of the Global Aphotic Zone of Enceladus) entered a highly eccentric, equatorial orbit around Saturn that was resonant with its target Enceladus. The joint CNSA/ESF (China National Space Administration/European Space Federation) mission comprised the parent spacecraft, an amalgam of CNSA designed variable specific impulse fusion engines/power plant and ESF designed habitat/artificial magnetosphere as well as the CNSA Qingnü (青女) lander (a modified Shenzhen Aeronautics S-52 lunar ferry) that carried the science crew and mission payload to the moon’s surface. Additionally, its science academy partners in the PASRC/PSA (Pan African Space Research Council/Pakistan Science Academy) managed the science end of the mission with the former leading the team exploring the subsurface ocean along with engineering it’s science instrumentation and the latter designing the “Bhulan” crewed thermal ice drilling submersible; itself named for the once extinct Indus River Dolphin. Seen here is the Qingnü lander in its Terminal Descent Phase as viewed by the RPRL (Remote Preliminary Reconnaissance Lander) having made touchdown on 10 October, 2085 08:14:22 UTC. The RPRL data determined this site in the southern polar region of Camphor Sulcus (Latitude: 70.78° S to 68.26° S, Longitude: 149.40° W to 77.00° W) was optimal being the thinnest part of the ice crust and having minimal seismic threats to the mission which required thermal drilling through 5 km of ice with a mean surface temperature of -200°C to reach the relatively temperate ocean beneath. On 12 October, 2085 01:16:52 UTC, the Bhulan Submersible embarked on its 3 week journey that was not only the most complex crewed expedition in human history, but would bring back a trove of data that would forever change humanity’s view of its place in the universe. Consortium of Spacefaring Nations Mars Excursion Vehicle ISC Aquarius’ construction was completed on 22 February, 2066 at the CSN Shipyard, located in a quasi-periodic, Lissajous orbit at the Earth-Moon L2 point on the Moon’s far side. Following a systems shakedown period, the ISC Aquarius initiated a Trans Mars Injection burn on 10 August, 2067, later establishing a moderately eccentric, non-equatorial parking orbit around the red planet on 18 November, 2067
