โ€ผ๏ธ๐Ÿ“ฃJUDGE & LYRICAL WORKSHOP ANNOUNCEMENT๐Ÿ“ฃโ€ผ๏ธ โค๏ธโœจMISS JAY CARR โœจโค๏ธ Here is what our fabulous Jay has to say: I trained with Robert Hamiltonโ€™s Dancepoint from the age of four, developing strong versatility across ballet, jazz, contemporary, gymnastics, hip hop, commercial, musical theatre, freestyle, and more. Throughout my training and professional career, I became a 5-time World, British, European, and Scottish Dance Champion, while gaining incredible opportunities to perform, win awards, and travel internationally, including New York, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Germany, and Italy. I also performed in pantomimes for many years at the Pavilion Theatre. I graduated from The Urdang Academy with a First-Class Degree before going on to perform on MSC cruise ships. My career has since grown into adjudicating and teaching through Jaycarrcoaching, including teaching at Hadouken Tricking Academy, delivering workshops across the UK, and becoming part of the faculty at Carol McLaren Dance Academy. Alongside my dance career, I have also expanded into Reformer Pilates coaching. Inspiring and training the next generation of performers is something I find incredibly rewarding and remain deeply passionate about. Jay is super excited to be join us on the panel for Day 1 of DCC!! We cannot wait to see the amazing lyrical workshop she provides for all your fabulous dancers. ๐Ÿ†๐ŸคLesley McTear Memorial Cup Winner๐Ÿค๐Ÿ† โค๏ธKASEY SELWYNโค๏ธ Kasey dances with the fabulous K.C Dance and was awarded this very special award last year at our November event. Watching Kasey dance brought me so much joy and I could just feel she was perfect for this award๐Ÿฅฐโค๏ธ Here is a little insight to who this award is dedicated tooโœจ My dear mummy, this one is for you๐Ÿ’–โœจ๐Ÿ† September 2024 my beautiful mum was killed in a horrific car accident. Lesley was the ultimate dance mum not only to myself for all these years but to every dancer she ever crossed paths with. My mums love for dance was unconditional and she did everything she possibly could to make my journey limitless. There was never a competition, workshop, exam, new leotard, musical or dance event we missed out on. There is no true way I could possibly honour the importance of my mum in my dance life, however she was so excited for this journey we were making as a family in creating DCC and bringing a new event for the next generation of amazing dancers. We will be awarding another dancer this Cup at our event this Novemberโ€ฆ. Good luck ๐Ÿ’– Here is what Kaseyโ€™s Teacher has to say: I have had the pleasure of teaching Kasey for the past seven years, and as a teacher, you truly couldnโ€™t ask for more from a student. Her dedication and commitment to dance have always been outstanding, and as she has grown, her talent and creativity in choreography have really begun to shine through. Not only is Kasey a fantastic dancer and hardworking student, but she is also an incredible role model to the younger dancers within our school. I am so proud of everything she has achieved so far and feel very lucky to have been part of her journey. I canโ€™t wait to see all that she goes on to accomplish in the future๐Ÿงก by @danceconnectchamps
