A few of my captures from my journey in California.

It was great to take a break from the day to day grind of my business and the chaos of NYC.

Day 4. Walked in to a pipe burst, 3 dumpsters, and 5 walls down.
$2,100 in disposal before a single nail was touched.
This is what the business looks like before it looks like anything.
Day 5 is coming. Follow along.

Day 1, he left on his own terms.
Came back in the middle of the night.
Left a mattress on the front lawn and went through the whole house.
This is part of the deal when you’re buying these types of properties. You account for it, you secure the asset, and you keep moving.
Demo crew is here. Alarm going in today.
Let’s build this.

Showed up to my new property this morning.
The seller’s boyfriend was already there.
Nobody warned me. All expectations pointed to one thing — this was going to be a problem.
I kept it simple. You’ve got until the locks change to get your things out.
He got to work. I watched.
Then the truck pulled out of the driveway.
We took a photo before he left.
John 3:16 on the back of his truck.
All good.
This is what real estate investing actually looks like. It’s not just the closings, but everything that comes after.
Follow for the full build. No highlight reel. Just the real thing.

New York City felt like a scene out of an apocalyptic movie today.

A magical moment in Central Park, NYC by @danielhimselff

I admit- I got comfortable.

In the entrepreneurial space there is this notion that you will start a business to have free time but I’m not sure if that truly ever happens. They call it passive income. Is anything ever truly passive?

I started it, I scaled it, automated it minimally and stepped away. I took a breather to travel and rediscover and redefine myself as I needed to for my new roles and new endeavors.

I came back to a confused company culture and to a team that lacked its edge. The truth is, for the first time, I lacked my edge.. the team was a reflection of me. 🤷‍♂️

We were short staffed, I needed to hire, help train and on top of it all, organize a move to a new apartment here in NYC. I had less than 2 weeks to do it all.

Somehow we did it. I am curious to see where this new road takes us. Everything seems back in order and in focus.

True entrepreneurs thrive in chaos. I left looking for parts of myself that I only found by being put in a difficult position. Trust the process..
