Born ② Roam
by Daniel Holler @danielhollercom & Michelle Stutz @michanys
8–14 October at Gruben[n] @grubenstrasse39
Grubenstrasse 39, 8045 Zürich
Vernissage: 8 October, 6 pm
Performance: 8 October, 7.30 pm, by Michaël Reinhold @mikosmonsters

Dear SUVs,
Go touch some grass.

Dear friends, family and followers,
Join us in the SUV fever dream aka the multimedia installation at Gruben[n].

Shifting the relationships of power and proximity between SUVs and the audience, alongside Michaël Reinhold’s performance, you’ll find SUVs recast as cute yet subtly disturbing: strange, awkward, at times repulsive.

Rotting in bed = being political = protest. Read the speech I made during “Me, Rotting in bed" if you don’t believe me ;) 📜🤳🛌

🎉 Meet the Crew 🎉

A decade in, and we couldn’t have done it alone.

Today: @danielhollercom – Interaction designer, all-round creative, and Alessandro’s brother 😉)

Every studio needs someone who brings good energy, and sometimes, that comes from family. Daniel was employee no. 1, joining us right in early 2020, just as Sandro was buried in his Master’s project and the world went into full pandemic mode. Talk about timing!

With his background in Interaction and Social Design, Daniel added a fresh, creative spirit to our projects, and plenty of dedication to our studio life. Curious, hands-on, and always building something interesting, Daniel quickly became our go-to for storyboards and, somehow, also for 3D blood vessels (a surprisingly tricky business).

Thanks for being part of Quaint’s journey, Daniel — and for all the great times in our Altstetten atelier! by @michanys

“Me, Rotting in Bed”
2025, Material Zürich

Thanks to everyone who joined me last Saturday for these 24h of pure rotting in bed. Hours were scrolled, much happened while doing little — and I hope you can follow my steps towards political activism from bed.

I want to thank @material_zh for hosting me, and all my friends for helping me write, perform, transport, photograph, set up, feed, and style me.

Special thanks to @casabarilli for the exceptionally cool Sandmann-type look.

Stay tuned for more posts and updates. 🛌 by @michanys

Escape the Dutch is a theatrical reenactment dissecting Dutch WhatsApp Crime Prevention groups, exposing discriminatory practices in citizen policing. Under my direction, I make the hidden, racialised dynamics of these chats experienceable, showing how 'othering' emerges through theatrical amplification. The performance iteratively examines and emulates the political reality of Dutch neighbourhoods, where fear of the foreign fuels profiling and policing.

🗣️ Escape the Dutch! Still the question lingers: safe for who? Fight or flight? More like scrutinise and ostracise. Nevermind. It’s from the pizza restaurant. Delivery person. 👁️

More pics and videos coming 🔜
