9 Rules that I live by: 1. Love what you do and you’ll never work a day in your life - say no more ✈️🩷❤️ @qantas 2. You’re never too old - There is no expiry date on ambition, reinvention, or dreams Photo credit @luciddreamsimagery wearing @anannasa for @qldaffestival and 3. Don’t wait for it to happen — make it happen - take action, don’t sit back and wait. Photo credit @phillipwsilverstone wearing @houseofjaise for @mind.yourfashion 4. Invest in genuine connections - Real relationships matter more than numbers or followers. Support people, show up authentically, and build connections based on respect and kindness. Photo credit @wicked_tales_ for @outbacklinen photoshoot 5. Rejection = Redirection - this is a big one, you didn’t get chosen for a job? You were replaced - Redirect your energy. Refine your skills. Attend a workshop. Update your portfolio. Attend networking events. Growth lives on the other side of discomfort Photo Credit @harrie.miller2025 for @barr.body.swim 6. DO YOU - don’t compare yourself to anyone else Your journey is yours alone. Stay in your lane, and trust that what’s meant for you won’t pass you by Photo Credit @brisbane.matt 7. Trust your dog’s intuition- they know energy - if my dog doesn’t like someone I show them the door. Animals have great instinct 🐶 Photo credit @stephbeausaertphotographer 8. Be your authentic self @zijde_ casting day 9. Manifest boldly - Dream without limits. Speak it, believe it, and back it with action. ✨ This runway was for women of every age, and I’m so proud to have been part of this! The @tasmanianfashionfestival was such a special experience. ❤️ It was wonderful to step onto the runway, meet so many talented models and designers, reconnect with familiar faces, and make new friendships and connections along the way. A huge thank you to the festival team for this opportunity, to the incredible runway production team for bringing it all together, and to the talented hair and makeup artists who helped create each look throughout the day. Experiences like this remind me how much I love fashion, the people it brings together, and the opportunities that come from saying yes to something new. Let’s talk about rejection in the modelling industry Save this post for when you need it🤍 I’ve been knocked back from castings, shoots, and campaigns I really wanted. But here’s what I’ve learnt: We’ve heard the saying “Rejection means Redirection” but sometimes “Rejection means God’s Protection”. When I miss out on a job, naturally I feel disappointed but then I readjust and refocus. What helps me is to write down what I have coming up it, whether it be a workshop to improve my skills, a photoshoot to update my portfolio, a TFP shoot, a casting. It reminds me I’m still moving forward. And often it’s not a “no” — it’s just “not this time” — it may have come down to height, look, timing, budget, or the client brief… all things outside of my control. And most often than not when one door closes, another door opens. So instead of taking rejection personally, try to treat it professionally. You just never know when you might get called back. What you do next is what matters. Consistency delivers results. Don’t let rejection rewrite your story What helps you handle rejection? #maturemodel #modellife #proage #agepositive #modeljourney by @daniellespark__
** Please read to the end ** 🙏In your 40s, someone will tell you that you’ve “missed the window” - DON’T LISTEN TO THEM! What they don’t know is that the industry has changed. Brands now value confidence, life experience, professionalism, reliability, diversity and authenticity. They want faces that are relatable and reflect real consumers. My advice - Keep showing up, refine your portfolio, network, back yourself, say yes to opportunities and understand that age isn’t a liability it’s an asset 💪 DM 💌if you think I align with your brand and values and would like to work with me in 2026 🌟💫 Comment below if you would like some tips to get your pro-age modelling career started ☺️ - - - - - Brisbane model, Australian model, classic model, pro-age model, e-commerce model, mature model, runway model, lifestyle model, flight attendant, age positivity, over 50 model, over 40 model, 50 plus, 40 plus, explore page, fifty and fabulous, explore page ready by @daniellespark__
Hi and welcome☺️ 😊 I’m proud to be building a career that blends modelling, aviation, travel, and the opportunity to represent brands I genuinely love. None of it happened overnight, and none of it happened because I waited until I felt “ready.” It happened because I kept saying yes—even when it felt a little scary. If you’re wondering whether it’s too late to try something new, let this be your reminder that it isn’t. Keep saying yes.
Keep growing.
Keep believing your best chapters may still be ahead. I’d love to know… what’s one opportunity you’ve said yes to recently? 🤍 #proage #agepositivity #classicmodel #brisbanemodel #cabincrew by @daniellespark__
