⏳ 16hrs of tattooing, 21+ hrs including draw ups and changes, Zach’s story being told, a few tears shed, and a lot of quiet thoughts of “this is nothing compared to what my brother had to endure & continues to during his road to recovery” ❤️‍🩹🪽
It isn’t just a tattoo. It’s a story that impacted me and shook me to the absolute fcking core..It’s his story I will repeat any day cuz my brother is still here and alive 🤍

The tattoo explained ⬇️

Placement is the side of Left thigh - 1 injury caused a long scar on the side of his left thigh (you’re not the only one with markings now) 🤍

🪽 St Michael - A patch in Zach’s unit that stayed perfectly intact above him during the accident. His guardian Angel

🛡️- “custos fratris” guardian of a brother

⚡️Lightening - Represents the impact of it all

🤍 Heart Beat - Represents the 28 days in ICU & 30 days in inpatient rehab

🪷Lotus & 🌙 crescent moon - Represents healing

🤞🏼 In this life and the next, bro @vasquez3323

Back Day (& hamstring recovery sess) with @danika.elenes. 💪🏼💆‍♀️🥳 by @danika.elenes

I wish I could tell younger me about you. ♥️

Younger me had no idea there could be a love like this. I don’t think she’d believe me. The love we share is better than waking up on Christmas morning. 🎄 You’re the best gift I could ever receive. Today and everyday I’m happy the love I share is with Y O U ♥️

I love you 😍😛🔥
Merry Christmas @erika_elenes 🎄🎅🏻 ♥️

Most days I wonder why you’re not texting..Why we aren’t planning your yearly trip to come see me..Why I cant call you to vent..I still can’t seem to understand why you’re not here.
I will forever have a hole in my heart that only a best friend like you could fill. 💔

Happy Heavenly Birthday, Brit 💜 I know where ever you are, you’re telling your jokes and making it a lighter & happier place.🤍

I know you won’t ever read this..I just hope you understood how much you mean to me as a person and my best friend. Life will never be the same..🤍 @britc218

Love,
Your bestfriend 🐢 by @danika.elenes

6ft has never felt so far. Save me a seat in paradise, because I’m not ready to say goodbye forever. You always believed in me, my biggest cheerleader, my best friend. From that first night on the pier, I knew I had a friend for life. You were the friend everyone dreams of having, and I miss you more than words can say. I’m so angry that you left me so suddenly. It feels unfair, and my heart is shattered. I still can’t wrap my head around not getting a text, Snapchat, or Instagram message from you. These words are only a crumb of what I feel on a daily basis without you here with me. The world feels emptier without you. It feels like all the good left when you left me. Until we meet again, I’ll carry you with me, always. Love you more 🤍 🕊️ 💔 😔 @britc218 by @danika.elenes

Losing you has left a void that can never be filled. I’m angry, heartbroken, and I still can’t wrap my head around a world where you’re not here. Every day without you feels like a cruel reminder of what’s missing. I miss your laugh, your support, your love..everything. It’s so unfair, and I’ll never understand why you had to go. My heart aches for the moments we’ll never share again, but I’ll carry your memory with me forever. I’ll keep you close in every beat of my heart. You’ll always be my best friend @britc218 💜 🐢 by @danika.elenes
