LYCEUM, a dark absurdist satire by Dareos Khalili will make its World Premiere at the Oscar-qualifying @izmirkisafilmfestivali on Thursday, Nov. 5, at the French Cultural Centre. Dareos will attend the premiere and participate in a Q&A following the screening. by @dareos._

BILLETERIE OUVERTE. Lien en bio. Dareos is a greek/iranian actor and film director and the artistic director of Swick Theatre. His journey into the performing arts began in 2005 when a somewhat alarming lack of high school friends drove him to seek constant validation on stage – a response that most psychologists would describe as “healthy” and most parents as “troubling”. He is perhaps most proud of being able to perform the splits whilst speaking five different languages, a feat that tends to elicit only mild responses of praise. As a short film director, his work speaks about the absurdity of human constructs – schools, systems of governance, even the concept of human personality, which he is personally still grappling with.
