A tribute to Juan Atkins — The Architect of the Future
Before the world could imagine tomorrow,
You heard its rhythm in the machines.
A new language born from circuitry,
A future built from dreams.
From the streets of Detroit,
You gave the world a different sound,
Where soul met science,
And underground culture found its ground.
With every beat, a revolution,
With every synth, a new frontier.
Clear, crisp, futuristic visions,
A sound that still resonates year after year.
From Cybotron to Model 500,
You helped the future find its soul.
No UFOs, just pure imagination,
Electronic music beyond control.
You didn’t just make records,
You created a movement, a legacy, a way.
A blueprint for generations,
That still guides the dance floors today.
Detroit will forever remember,
The pioneer who dared to see,
That music had no boundaries,
And the future could be free.
Rest easy, Juan Atkins.
Your body may leave this earthly plane,
But your frequencies live forever,
In every kick, every synth, every refrain.
The future is never silent.
The future is forever yours. 🖤

❤️🎶 LET’S SAVE BBE STORE, LONDON FIELDS!

BBE Store is facing the threat of closure following noise complaints, and we hope a solution can be found that works for both residents and the venue.

As a Black-owned space, BBE Store has become a valued part of London’s music scene ,bringing people together through incredible DJs, good energy and a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere.

Losing it would leave a huge gap in our community and independent music culture. Let’s work together to protect this special space while respecting the needs of local residents.
