🥈 In Adult Intermediate -50 kg, but landed off the podium in Adult Advanced -50 kg and 15-17 Advanced -50 kg.

Feel like I’ve been in a little bit of a slump training-wise since after Worlds, but grateful for the experience here in Nashville.

ADCC Youth World Championships w/ @darthvada10p

📸 @last_dragon_imaging by @darthvada10p

I once again had the amazing opportunity to compete in the ADCC Youth World Championship. I placed 🥉 in both my weight division and the absolute division.

I went in confident and prepared but ultimately came up short of my goal of being a world champion. Losing is tough. Falling short of my goal is painful, but in the end, I’m proud of my accomplishments and the work I put in to get here.

The ADCC Youth World Championship is held once every two years, so being 15, I’ll have one more crack at this thing before becoming an adult, and I’m looking forward to the challenge.

I want to thank all my coaches and training partners @10psanantonio / @10psahuebneroaks. @10psanantonio is the gym where I started my jiu jitsu journey and the gym I still call home. I will be forever grateful for all that they do for me and for having played such a significant roll in cultivating my love for jiu jitsu.

I also want to thank all those I’ve trained with at @10patx, where I spent a lot of time training leading up to Worlds. Your willingness to help me prepare means a lot to me.

I want to thank @laurensears10p from the bottom of my heart for everything she did to help me prepare and for being in my corner throughout this championship. The growth I’ve experienced since starting to work with her has been invaluable and has contributed immensely to my success. Her passion for jiu jitsu and coaching is undeniable, uplifting and inspiring.

I want to thank @jacobnorton10p for helping me prepare for and cornering me in my bronze medal match. Your insight and guidance undoubtedly contributed to my victory.

Thank you also to @backonthematpt who guided me through my PT and strength training.

Lastly, I want to thank my family, and specifically my parents and siblings, for all their support and for the sacrifices they’ve made in helping me pursue my dreams. by @darthvada10p
