Maju terus kopi Indonesia 🇮🇩 by @daryantowitarsa

History has been made! The first and largest World of Coffee event in Southeast Asia is finally here, and I’m humbly honored to have been a part of it.

I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to @specialtycoffeeassociation, Exporum, Dyandra, and @aksi_scai team for making my lifelong dream a reality. @gustial we did it, bro!

The journey began 12 years ago when I attended my first World Coffee event in Melbourne (MICE). Ever since then, I envisioned bringing this world-class event to my home, Indonesia. As the fourth-largest coffee producer in the world, I want to provide opportunities for the whole coffee ecosystem in Indonesia to benefit from this. From farmers to baristas and consumers, I hope everyone can utilize this rare opportunity.

The opportunity presented itself three years ago at WOC Greece when I had the chance to meet @yannisapost , CEO of @specialtycoffeeassociation . From talks to years of planning to finally a reality.

Thank you everyone for sharing this history with me.

Indonesia, this is for you🇮🇩 by @daryantowitarsa

FINALLY 10 YEARS LATER, 🇮🇩 TAKES HOME THE 🏆!

For as long as i can remember, it has been @mikaeljasin @daryantowitarsa and @commongroundsid ‘s dream to bring back the 🏆 for 🇮🇩. We almost did it in 2019 when @mikaeljasin came in 4th in the world. In 2021, Miki sadly didn’t make it to the finals. You would think one would be defeated by this, but heck no. @mikaeljasin took a short break after 2021 from the comps, but he definitely bounced back from the defeat and rose right to the top with his heartfelt and personal performance. Definitely sent some tears to everyone who watched his run.

We are all so proud of the @commongroundsid team. Never giving up on their dream and goal. Perservered till the end and finally saw the rainbow at the end of the tunnel.

For those who are unaware, the World Barista Championship is the most prestigious and sought after competition in the coffee world. To win this is like winning Miss Universe 😂

Once again congrats @daryantowitarsa , as the head of the 🇮🇩specialty coffee association @aksi_scai , he is not one to share his glories and victories as he is more of the behind-the-scene kind of guy, but i must say i’m so proud of you and all the things you do quietly for 🇮🇩. You put 🇮🇩 on the map ! What an era for Indonesia’s coffee industry, in 2023 we had a Coffee Roaster World Champion @taufanmokoginta, just 2 weeks ago we had @ryanwibawa came in 3rd for World Coffee Brewer Championship, and next year the World of Coffee Event will be held in Jakarta for the first time! You should give yourself more credit than you think you deserve @daryantowitarsa ! Well done🫶🏆

Over 10+ years we’ve been waiting for a nice spot in Pacific Place. Not for commercial value, but mostly for nostalgia.

My first job out of college was working for Pacific Place when there was only bare land and until it opened its mall and hotel.

Yoshi worked in finance next door. We all used to meet, hang out, eat in this mall in our early days before coffee became a focal part of our lives and careers.

It’s always a special feeling to connect the present with the past. Brings back memories of raw hopes and dreams.

Often I find myself thinking how lucky I am to have my brothers and appreciate what we continue to build together. I wouldn’t want to do it any other way or with anyone else. by @daryantowitarsa

Komitmen Pemerintah Provinsi DKI Jakarta @dkijakarta untuk mendukung hadirnya kembali World of Coffee menuju Mei 2029 menjadi harapan besar sekaligus tanggung jawab bersama

JAKARTA MENUJU
COFFEE CAPITAL OF THE WORLD

Satu visi. Satu ekosistem. Bergerak bersama

A marathon is: running 30 km with your legs, 10 km with your mind, 2 km with your heart and 195 meters in tears❤️(in my case 43.04 km 🙈) definitely need to learn to do the shortest marathon distance next time!

Dapet bonus ketemu pak @ganjar_pranowo di km 25🙏
