Details of hand painted chinoiserie in a master bedroom. The brief was to whisper rather than scream, something gentle and serene.
An absolute joy to paint

Two paintings by @dawn_reader to be exhibited at Art in the City titled ‘The Wheel Turns’ @paintershalllondon in Little Trinity Lane EC4 in this year’s annual exhibition.
As an oil painter of land and sea, Dawn is inspired by the light, instilling her paintings with a sense of peace and tranquility and carry an essence of timelessness.
The exhibition runs from Thursday 21 - Saturday 22 October 10am- 5pm. Free admission.

A lot of artists have more than one string to their bow and in the case of this week’s artist @dawn_reader , that is specialising in murals and decorative finishes for more than 35 years!

Dawn has brought along samples of her mural work and they are exquisite!

Have a look through the pieces on paper in the gallery every day this week between 11am - 4pm

Thrilled these two beauties sold so early on whilst being the artist in residence @coastcolourcanvasgallery in St Keverne, Cornwall, TR12
Such a beautiful gallery with a wonderful ethos, and being so far south on The Lizard is just glorious… highly recommend a visit!
As it’s on @roskillysofficial farm there’s a really chilled vibe as they’re famous for ice cream!
Open from 11-4… I’ll be there until Friday

From dusk ‘til dawn and the hours between, the paintings of @dawn_reader capture the changing seas and skies of our beautiful coastline.

I have to admit, the pieces in slide 4 are my favourite!

For those of you that like something a little unusual, a circular canvas in a circular frame with a beautiful peachy sky and reflections on the water 😍

It may be the end of the summer, but the sea breeze is still balmy.
I’m heading to Cornwall, exhibiting @coastcolourcanvasgallery @roskillysofficial St Keverne, opening Saturday 19 - Friday 25 September
I’ll be taking a myriad of my paintings, so do pop by, come and have a look and say hi. I’d love to see you there.
Also a great opportunity to eat some wonderful Cornish fare including proper ice creams hand made on the farm.
This painting is still drying… I do hope it’ll be ready to travel!
