One of the coolest wedding festivities I’ve photographed was Raj’s baraat that took over Walton St leading to The Drake & his & Gretchen’s South Asian American fusion ceremony.

I don’t have evidence, but I can all but guarantee the dhols could be heard from blocks away on other side of Michigan Ave, and possibly even on the other side of Lake Michigan. The energy was so infectious, and it was one of those where I could wipe the smile from my face for the full 30 minutes even if I tried.

I’d been envisioning these drone photos for upwards of a year, and I love how they turned out. The energy & the colors you can see & feel from a birds eye view helps convey just how epic it all was.

More baraat photos once I finish the full gallery, because I just can’t get enough.
