This one is for the man who truly deserves to be celebrated. ♥️

The one who cheers the loudest, believes in me even when I doubt myself, and carries me when I feel like I have nothing left to give.

The one who never questions my crazy dreams, who supports every “little” purchase that somehow turns into a new piece of gear, sponsors every swimming coaching session, and every wild idea I throw at him. 😂

But more than any of that, he’s the one who shows up. Over and over again. In the early mornings, the long weekends, the tired tears, the doubts, and the moments when I wonder if I can do it.

Thank you for being my biggest supporter, my safe place, my steady hand, and my reminder that I never have to do any of this alone.♥️ by @ddaanniiii9

This journey has been a metaphor for life.

It’s training your mind to stay calm when everything feels overwhelming, trusting yourself when the outcome is uncertain, and reminding yourself that discomfort doesn’t always mean danger. Six years ago, I was afraid of what my life would become. Today, I’m living proof that a diagnosis does not have to define your future, and that there is still so much beauty, strength, and possibility ahead.

This journey was never just about crossing a finish line. It is about honoring the person I was six years ago, the one who was scared, uncertain, and wondering if life would ever feel normal again.

I wish I could go back and tell her that she would be okay. That she would find strength she never knew she had. That one day, she would do things she once thought were impossible.

To the version of me who was afraid: we’re making it. Not because the fear disappeared, but because we learned how to keep going despite it. 🤍 by @ddaanniiii9

Today was another victory lap of the race that started back in February.
The early mornings, late nights, & sacrifices made along the way. This journey has been about trusting the process, embracing the uncomfortable, and learning that sometimes the biggest victories happen within us long before anyone else gets to see them.
To everyone who came out to show love and support, and to everyone who has supported me along the way, Thank you 🤍
Mother Earth 🌍 thank you for embracing me today in your humbling waters & beautiful winds. To stand in your presence is to be reminded of how small we are in the grandness of it all, yet how deeply connected we are to everything you give.

Una década a tu lado en la que llenas mi vida de amor, calma y luz. 🥹🤍 by @ddaanniiii9

Last week of summer break & I can’t believe year 9 lies ahead.
Education is shifting, and uncertainty is real, but so is our collective strength.
To the teachers navigating change, I’m standing beside you.
To the leaders making impossible choices, I respect you.
To the students carrying invisible burdens, I’m here for you.
To the retired educators, your legacy still shapes us.
To the new teachers stepping in for the first time, I cheer for you.
To the former educators who chose a different path, I admire you.
To the ones seeking certification, I believe in you.
To the families trying their best, I appreciate you.
To the communities watching schools evolve, I honor you.
& to those friends who listen when I struggle, thank you 🤍

This year may stretch us and reshape us, but may we never forget the one truth that anchors us all: human dignity.
We are humans first, worthy of grace, patience, and understanding. 🥲🤍

Early anniversary celebration.
10 years & forever more 🤍 by @ddaanniiii9

Dipping my toes into something new. Facing mental fears of the open water through every stroke was a conversation with the part of me that wanted to quit, and the part that refused to.

Today was about proving to myself that I can do hard things, even when they scare me.
Thankful for friends and family, the ones who show up on the tough days and encourage me when I doubt myself.

Here’s to new challenges, shaky starts, and the version of myself that is not done yet. 🏊‍♀️🚴🏽‍♀️🏃🏽‍♀️✨

5 years.🌸
In 2021, I was diagnosed with a second autoimmune disease, one that attacks the liver. I was told I would depend on medication for the rest of my life. I carried that sentence with me through every appointment, every blood draw, every moment of fear and every moment of hope.
But here’s what also happened: I found doctors who listened. I learned to advocate for myself. My body reached biochemical remission. My health stabilized. And today… I took my last dose of that “lifelong” medication.
This doesn’t mean the journey is over. Autoimmune disease doesn’t work that way. There will always be risks, always unknowns. But today, I get to stand in a moment I once thought I’d never reach, and I am grateful.
Why the mechanical bull photo? Because this is how I’ve survived all of it. You grab life by the horns, hold on tight, fight and find a way to smile through the wild parts.
To everyone who has been here since day one: through the good, the bad, and the ugly, thank you. Your love carried me farther than any medicine ever could.🤍 by @ddaanniiii9
