Brazilian Cowboy (Cowboy Brasileiro), Mendes, RJThis is the first subject in a new project on Brazilian ranchers , cowboys, and land keepers. In a time when everything feels tech-obsessed and virtual, it was inspiring to spend a day with someone who’s still fully connected to animals and the land.Rodrigo has been doing this since he was a teenager (now in his early 40’s), and you can tell he still loves it just as much. He learned most of it from his father, who did the same work. The care he gives the horses (some living well past their expected age), and the way he moves through the farm with real attention and respect, was beautiful to see.He let me follow him through his day, explaining what he was doing and why with so much patience and warmth. 🇧🇷 #brasil by @kurtmangum
