Da Klubb kings - Its time 2 get funky (Klubb mix) (1997)
Genre: Hard house / Garage House
Popularity: 5% (Used to be very popular…)

Our screen has limited space so displays as Casette… not cassette
A mixtape cassette made in 1998, mostly consisting electronic music… No timestamp, No shuffle, press play, forward, then play again… find the tape count number that has this track.
A Garage themed Hard house track made by Da klubb kings with famous 90s organ bassline sound, iconic samples.
We cannot achieve this genre again because modern technology limits the “low tech but banger tracks”. No source of autotune, no over-engineered mastering…
A lot of remixes done but I’d stay with the original release “Klubb mix”

Ultra Nate - Free (Mood II swing vocal) (1997)
Genre: House
Popularity: 25% (A must have track from 90s!)

Track that completely fits 1997’s style. Produced by Mood II swing.
The best version is their whole 12 minute extended mix. But nowadays crowd doesn’t allow us more than 3 minute tracks!
Feel free, relax and join Ultra Nate’s journey with her vivid vocals…
Remixed by Claptone in 2016. Sampled in many songs…
Still played in the clubs versions today but I’ll still play the original Mood II swing version.

DJ Fresh,Rita ora - Hot right now (2012)
Genre: Drum’n’bass
Popularity: 15% (Somewhat popular worldwide)

Take the final sprint, race for the 1st place. Energetic drum n bass track but maybe forgotten by global media.
Why EDM gets softer by the time, comment below; are the people exhausted from the heavy gigs or people wants to be in a chill mood 24/7 (Even in the nightclubs no longer real clubs now)
Even the “amped” mood only equals melodic sounds, sadly …

I think EDM (late 2000s early 2010) is not a soft happy music genre. It must be a hard agressive sound. This track on the other hand , blends them up perfectly.

2 Unlimited - Twilight zone (1992)
Genre: Eurodance / Euro rave
Popularity: 10% (people who raised with right music must know)

Finding a new track; maybe thats good but I’m not sure it stays in my heavy rotation…
Finding a new-old track, Hell yeah! Another forgotten gem, Lets dance untill we get exhausted.
Early to late 90s era; feels just like another dimension and never came back… just like 80s never be duplicated; same thing appears with 90s sound!

Marusha performing at the Legendary Rave “Mayday 1994”

Happy Halloween to everyone on the Midnight Transmission frequency. Tonight I’m letting Paul Glazby’s I’m Your Nightmare into the booth.

I picked this 2002 Tidy record for the way its relentless hard house rhythm puts a chase scene in my head. You can almost picture the villain finding the decks before anyone finds the exit. That’s exactly the atmosphere I wanted for tonight’s selection.

In 2004, Glazby was preparing a Nightmare on Glazby Street room at the Tidy Weekender and mentioned a Freddy Krueger costume. The glove, he pointed out, would get in the way. A fair concern when you’ve got records to cue.

Wherever you’re spending tonight, I hope you’ve found good company and somebody who knows which record to play next. Have a brilliant Halloween and thanks for keeping this frequency alive.

Some nightmares deserve another play.

Extreme Traxx- Final Fantasy (1998)
Genre: Trance
Popularity: 2% (90s and early 00s Ravers might know)

Nearly 30 years ago… back to the legendary Loveparade days. Who else misses that era? I never got to experience it myself. Sadly, I feel like —exactly— I was born in the wrong era…

No smartphones—just phones with Snake. Film cameras, fewer screens, and more people living in the moment…

Proper dancing. Endless energy. We’re not robots—we were born to dance, party, and have fun. And this is exactly the kind of energy I wish I’d experienced.

Listen between the choruses. Reech’s Give Me Your Love has more on its mind than falling in love.

The sung hook asks for someone. The rap imagines what life could look like once fear and bad memories are behind you.

That little connection is what I want you to hear on the next play.

Released in 1994, this is Eurodance with its heart completely on show. At 143 BPM, the beat keeps the song moving while the chorus gives that hopeful feeling a melody you can carry away.

Listen to the change in delivery. The rap sits close to the rhythm, then the singing opens everything up again. One pushes the story forward. The other gives you the feeling.

I love how direct it all is. Wanting someone, wanting a better future and letting yourself get a little carried away by the possibility.

For me, that’s where the warmth in this record comes from.

A good one for the last stretch of daylight, with the volume up and a few things still to look forward to.

The chorus asks for love. The verses make room for it.

Example - Changed the way you kiss me (2011)
Genre: Electro house
Popularity: 30% (Even higher in Europe)

With Example’s heavy electro house sound and fast, rap-like vocals, this track will give you a rush of energy “charge” that feels like it will never worn out like a dead battery, getting your adrenaline hormones pumping and making you feel ready to run for miles—even if you’re still lying on the couch like most of us do in their leisure time…

If you know the voice from Bullet in the Gun, listen closely to this one.

Merle Forbes is back in your ears, and Guyver has absolutely no interest in sending you home.

JX - Restless (Guyver Remix).

The title does half the storytelling. Merle sings about feeling restless and high, then Guyver makes the rhythm behave exactly that way.

Listen to the repeated vocal against the kick and that insistent synth figure. Every return gives you something familiar to sing while the machinery underneath keeps pushing. For me, that’s what makes this so addictive: you can get completely carried away and still have a voice to follow.

At 142 BPM, the full remix takes over ten minutes to make its case. There’s room for anticipation, for the vocal to pull you in and for the return of the rhythm to feel properly earned.

Already appearing on Tidy compilations in 2003 before its 2004 single release, this belongs to the early-2000s UK hard trance world where a record could take its time and still leave you breathless.

At this hour, Restless feels like a fairly accurate description of everyone still listening.
