Long hours at a desk can gradually affect the way your body moves and feels. Forward head posture, rounded shoulders, neck tension, and lower-back discomfort are often linked to spending too much time in the same position. A simple block—or a thick book—can be a useful tool to support your body with a few targeted movements that help: • Open the chest and shoulders • Release tension through the neck and upper back • Encourage healthier posture • Ease lower-back discomfort • Improve spinal mobility • Create a greater sense of balance and alignment Just a few mindful minutes can help counter the effects of prolonged sitting and leave your body feeling more open, mobile, and energized. Feeling overwhelmed or anxious? Try this before you move on with your day The 4-7-8 breathing technique is a simple breathing practice that can help calm your body and settle your mind. It works by slowing down your breathing and making your exhale longer, which can help shift your body away from the fight-or-flight state and towards a more relaxed state. Try it with me: → Inhale through your nose for 4 seconds → Hold your breath for 7 seconds → Slowly exhale through your mouth for 8 seconds Repeat for 3–5 rounds. Keep the breath soft, steady and comfortable rather than forcing it. Save this for those moments when your mind feels like it won’t switch off — and send it to someone who needs a little calm today. 🤍 Want my FREE One Pranayama Class for stress & relaxation? Comment “Pranayama” below and I will Enrol you 🙂 Note: If you’re pregnant, have a cardiovascular or respiratory condition, feel dizzy, or find breath-holding uncomfortable, skip or shorten the hold and focus instead on slow, gentle breathing. #breathingtechniques #pranayama #breathwork #breathingexercise #nervoussystem stressrelief relaxation anxietyrelief by @deepyogpeeth

Did you know the psoas is one of the deepest muscles in your body? It connects your lower back to your hips and legs, and because we spend so much time sitting, it can sometimes become tight and uncomfortable. A tight or irritated psoas may contribute to tension around the hips and lower back, and in some cases can be involved in symptoms that feel similar to sciatic pain. Try this supported position 👇🏼 Using a firm bolster for support allows your body to relax without forcing a stretch. { Here I am using @sunkissyogalove bolster, which feels really comfortable } You may feel: – More ease around the hips and hip flexors – Less tightness in the lower back – Easier, deeper breathing – A calmer and lighter feeling in your body Stay here for 2–5 minutes, breathe slowly, and let your body settle into the support. Remember, you should feel comfortable—not sharp pain. Avoid this position if you have a recent hip, lower-back, or abdominal injury, or during pregnancy. Save this for the next time your body feels tense. 🤍 Comment “RELEASE” and I’ll send you my FREE Demo Yoga class Link. There I would provide you simple yoga and breathing practices to help you relax, release tension, and feel more grounded. 🫶🏼 #psoas #hipflexorstretch #hipmobility #lowerbackpain stressrelief nervoussystemregulation restorativeyoga deskworkermobility yogaforstress breathwork wellbeing bodyawareness goldenseedhealing by @deepyogpeeth
This pose is not about being naturally flexible. It takes mobility, strength, consistency, and the right progression. 🧘‍♂️ If you’re working towards advanced yoga poses, don’t rush straight into the final shape. Start by building: ✦ Shoulder mobility ✦ Hip flexibility ✦ Core strength ✦ Back-body strength ✦ Body awareness & control Practice the foundations consistently and let your body progress step by step. For this Pose👉 It’s an advanced Drill For achieving deeper back Bending ! Kindly follow these steps 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻 You’ll need a yoga chair to begin. 1️⃣ Place one knee on the chair and make sure you feel stable and supported. 2️⃣ Slowly lift your hips upward while bringing your upper body down toward the floor. 3️⃣ Keep working toward bringing your chest closer to the floor. 4️⃣ Once you’re comfortable, reach back and hold the legs of the chair for support. 5️⃣ From there, gently work on taking your chest lower toward the floor while lifting your hips higher. 6️⃣ Breathe, stay controlled, and never force the movement. With consistent practice, you can gradually create more space and depth in the posture. The final shape you see in the video comes from mobility + strength + patience + consistent practice. 🙏 Don’t force the depth just to copy the Video. Work within your own range and progress little by little. 💾 Save this for your next practice ❤️ Share it with someone working on their flexibility 💬 Comment “CHAIR” if you want more yoga-chair progressions. #Yoga #YogaPractice #YogaChair #YogaPose #Flexibility YogaJourney YogaProgress Mobility YogaTips AdvancedYoga Backbend YogaInspiration by @deepyogpeeth
Your spine needs movement-not just stretching. 🙏🏻 This supported spinal mobility flow uses blocks under the upper back + an overhead reach to create space through the spine, chest, and shoulders. 👉Improve mobility 👉Release upper-back tension 👉Open the chest 👉Breathe more freely 👉Counteract hours of sitting and screen time Don’t force the range. **Slow down, breathe, and let your body move.** A few intentional minutes can make a big difference in how you feel. #TheEssentialPractice #SpinalMobility #MobilityMatters... by @deepyogpeeth
