Proud to say we helped raise over $1200 for @mainesolidarityfund with our friends @grooveatlas and @iamjackshea Friday night @blueportlandmaine Video shot and recorded by @jonfrancis_insta by @deer.isle.band
📣UPDATE FOR OUR SHOW ON 1/30📣 After deep consideration and consultation between performers and workers, we have decided to shift our approach to the show on Friday night. Our hope is to act in line with the calls for a service worker’s strike, support Mainers in need, and execute Blue’s mission as a non-profit community arts organization to facilitate, participate in, and chronicle community-building events in the arts. On Friday, 1/30 @blueportlandmaine will donate all proceeds from the bar to @mainesolidarityfund. We’ll ask for a $20 donation at the door to support Blue’s work as a non-profit community arts organization, and we’ll pass the hat to support performers. We hope our supporters and community can collectively hold outrage towards ICE, love for our neighbors, and the truth that bills are due at the end of the month. The affordability crisis we are living through and ICE’s presence in our city share the same roots. We’re living through hard times together and doing hard work together. It’s moments like this where community gathering spaces are needed most and where resistance music needs to be heard. We hope to see you on Friday! by @deer.isle.band

Our compilation record “Live at Wildrose Studios (May 8th 2025)” is now streaming everywhere. We had hoped to release this a month ago, but an issue occurred with the music distributing platform that required us to restart the process so here we go! After struggling to book a Thursday show for a weekend run, we decided to throw our own show cook for some friends and record the sets into an 8-track Tascam. @sarahoneil____ was able to capture the night, check out the videos on YouTube or our band pages. Special thanks to Jarred Hahn who engineered and mixed all three sets and @freemanmastering for the mastering and @tlehren for cooking! by @deer.isle.band
