My newest Substack reflection, “When Faith is All You Have,” is now live. 🤎✨

A reflection on the season I’m in, the quiet power of waiting patiently, and learning to embrace stillness while trusting God’s timing.

Sometimes, the test is in our ability to remain hopeful in the seasons when life asks us to be still. ❤️

My new article is officially published with @theatlantavoice 📝✨

“The Spirit of Readiness: When Subtle Turns to Suddenly”

This piece is about the work that happens in silence, the preparation no one sees, and how those quiet seasons can qualify us for the work we’ve been praying to step into.

When God opens the door, the spirit of readiness allows us to walk through it fully, confidently, and prepared for the calling on the other side. What feels like a sudden opportunity is often the result of years of subtle preparation.

I’m grateful to share this reflection with you.

Available to read in print and online.

Polaroids of @ariansimone during her Fearless Freedom book tour. 📖

It was such a pleasure to capture these moments.
She is truly the perfect muse. by @deja_z

Meet DeJa’ Armstrong @deja_z , the newest creative writer joining The Atlanta Voice.

Through thoughtful storytelling and a fresh perspective, DeJa’ is bringing her voice to our pages with “My Voice, My Power.”

We’re excited to have her as part of The Atlanta Voice family and look forward to sharing more of her work. by @deja_z

A tribute to @girlmeetsfilmm & @deja_z , the documentarian of the Fearless Freedom Book Tour.

She showed up with the whole archive: the old-school home video camera, the Polaroid, the disposable cameras, and gorgeous black-and-white captures.

On this scroll is a random photo dump of the Polaroid shots that I fell in love with!

Every shot felt like a memory before it even happened.
Because my look for the tour is 1950s & 1960s glam inspired, shooting this way was a perfect tie in.

Thank you for bringing all that nostalgia, Deja. You didn’t just document the tour — you made it legendary. 📸✨

If you have ordered your @fearlessfreedombook be sure to click link in bio above 👆🏾 tomorrow is release day and you don’t want to miss out!

I’m incredibly grateful to share that I am now a creative writer for @theatlantavoice through my new column, “My Voice, My Power.”

Thank you to @chia.suggs_ , @janis.ware.3 , and everyone at The Atlanta Voice for believing in my voice, my vision, and the stories I have to tell.

If only the little girl in me could have known that the voice she was once afraid to use would one day become one of her greatest gifts. 🌷✨

I don’t have enough words to express how grateful I am for this opportunity. This column is deeply personal to me. It is a reminder that our voices are worth cultivating, protecting, and sharing, even when we are still learning how to trust them.

And thank you to @myles.photos and @nicedidit for capturing the pictures in the article.

My column “My Voice, My Power” is now available in print and online, with a new article published monthly.

Here’s to not being afraid of using our voices.♥️ by @deja_z
