2025 gratitude… Part two.

Ouff. The second half of the year is where things started to reach a whole new level of impact… like a true wildfire of love. ❤️‍🔥

Each one of these special humans has allowed Del Alma to blossom in its inspired destiny.

Special recognition to @dianaeskander_ who you’ll see often here as in July she said yes to a whole year of visuals with me. ♾

Deep heart. Grand purpose. Clear vision.

These are the qualities of the people Del Alma loves to serve.

And with the mission to offer an artistry that is unique to each soul… came the devotion towards refined creative concepts and direction. (highly recommend you swipe till the end because december was juicyyy)

If this was 2025… I cannot even fathom where 2026 will take us.

Stay close… breathe slow… enjoy the unfolding…

And may your eyes know deep beauty…

The kind that is

Unforgettable

All permeating

Immortal.

With love,

PS. I could never fit all the photoshoots of even half of the year in one post and it broke my heart to have to choose 20… but if we worked together in 2025 please know creating together was so special. 🫂🌹 by @delalma.media

faces of the m a n y
earth cracks beneath dry rivers

do you remember their taste?

drying out under scorching yellow beams
crack me wide open

i stand there
tears streaming down my face
as the gravity of grief seeps down into every crevice
an ancient elixir
of many moons that have passed
i feel the breeze of the wind as it dances in my hair

monsoons finally came
river fills back up
cracks swiftly turn into wet soil
life returns
deep guttural cries, longing for grandmothers hands
turn into deep belly laughs by the fire
rekindling old friendships

it all exists at once

so i learn to juggle these moments
like a circus performer
the ones who can see beyond my act, look me in the eyes and they know

i know..

they say the thing i’ve been aching to be witnessed in
and we all go on performing

taking a bow as the credits roll
and off we go into moonlight moonshine moments
cos we know, the show must go on

maybe this is what it means to be alive
we crack, we cry, we ache, we dance, we flood
we laugh with a mouth that knows how to wail

and when the moon rises again over the river bed
i will not ask if she will be empty by sunup
i will cup my hands beneath it
and drink

There are many ways to be a woman. I intend to be all of them. by @delalma.media

What if the woman we were taught to respect and the woman we were taught to desire were never two different women?

I’ve been thinking a lot about the ways I learned to divide myself.

The parts of me that felt sacred, soft, devoted, worthy of respect and the parts of me that felt sensual, desirous, bold, alive.

As if one made me more worthy and the other somehow took something away from me.

I don’t think I consciously believed that.
But I can see the ways I lived it.

The ways I edited myself depending on the room.
The ways I could feel completely at home in my sensuality and still wonder how it would change the way I was perceived.
The ways women are so often asked to be desirable, but not too desiring. Embodied, but not too much. Sacred, but somehow separate from sexual.

And the older I get, the less interested I am in choosing.

I can be reverent and erotic.
Soft and unapologetic.
Devoted and full of desire.

None of these women cancel the others out.

They were never different women to begin with.

Maybe part of coming back to ourselves is noticing where we learned to split ourselves in the first place.
