Wrinkles may collect birthdays, but great skin collects compliments.

…now watching VXO Beauty Academy become a Best of Texas 2026 winner

I didn’t start this journey knowing exactly what kind of educator I would become. I just knew there were things about beauty education I wanted to do differently.

Then came the students.

The first demonstrations. The lessons that worked and the ones I had to rethink. The classrooms. The events. The opportunities to teach outside four walls. Watching students finally understand something they once struggled with. Watching them graduate, become licensed, build careers and eventually come back as professionals themselves.

And somewhere between teaching technique and teaching people how to believe in what they were capable of, education became one of the biggest parts of my purpose.

I’ve changed as an educator.
My teaching has changed.
The school has changed.
And every class has taught me something too.

From becoming an educator, to building curriculum, to challenging what beauty school could look like, to being named one of Intercoiffure America/Canada’s Top Five Teachers in 2025, and…

What a journey.

And the wildest part?

I still feel like I’m just getting started.

This one is for every student who has ever sat in one of my classes. You helped build the teacher I am today.

If the students have to do it, so do their educator. This unconventional approach is what solidifies students to pass their practical with ease for the state.

The power of unity lies in the connection between esthetician and client. Every touch, every movement, and every technique creates a silent conversation built on trust, intention, and care.
What is often overlooked is the cohesion behind the service, the harmony between knowledge, technique, presence, and human connection. When every student learns to work in unison with their client rather than simply perform a treatment, the experience transforms into something greater.
True beauty isn’t created by technique alone. It’s created through connection. And when our industry embraces that understanding, everything changes.
