— It Is Finished. Stillness. As I play, every breath is a whispered truth, every note is a prayer. These notes carry more than sound - they carry peace, surrender, and the weight of the finality of words that echo through eternity. This is a moment of reflection, a space to breathe, to remember, and to rest in the finished work. May this bring peace to your spirit, as it does mine.

Late but heartfelt post.

I commend everyone who posted last week and the week before! 😅 Whew!

NFA 2026 in Oregon, Portland was beautiful! The Portland Airport (pictured above - wooden bleachers) is adorable - my favorite airport in the country for sure!)

Once again it was a honor serving on the board with my fellow board members under the leadership of President Jennifer Grim and Executive Director Jennifer Clarke.

I enjoyed catching up with my Powell family, flute friends from around the world, and being inspired by the amazing performances. (I took it upon myself to include some photos from last year’s conference (just a few, lol).

Beloved Stephen Finley was recognized for his lifetime of work in the flute community and although the regional fires had the area in a bit of a haze the cascading flutes of the convention eventually gave us beautiful cool and breezy clear skies!

Hope to see you all in Minneapolis next year! 🙌🏾 by @demiflute_

Dear Friends and Supporters of the Kingdom Flute Works Community,

As we celebrate Giving Tuesday, I’m excited to share an opportunity to make a lasting impact in the lives of young musicians!

Since 2009, my summer camp, Kingdom Flute Works, has welcomed students from diverse backgrounds to a transformative musical experience—one that strengthens their skills, expands their creativity, and nurtures their musical and personal growth.

My team and I are committed to making the KFW 2026 accessible to every youth who desires to learn. To make that possible, we need your help.

Every dollar—whether $10, $50, or $250—goes directly toward empowering a new generation of flutists.
Will you help us?

Your generosity today ensures that our youth can experience a summer filled with inspiration, encouragement, excellence, and the joy of music. Together, we can open doors and build opportunities that will echo far beyond this season.

Thank you for supporting Kingdom Flute Works, for believing in our mission, and for sowing into the lives of budding flutists! *

From Carnegie Hall to other glorious stages around the country, I’m beyond grateful to be a member of the Color of Noize Orchestra! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

This past summer, we toured to over 20 cities to sold-out audiences. And, just this past weekend in Las Vegas, we made history — officially being mentioned in the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest orchestra to ever perform with a rap artist! 🙌🏾🤩

To share the stage with musicians I love and admire AND to also be part of a groundbreaking moment in music truly special! ( NOT TO MENTION the flute section was fire: 🔥 @ceylonmitchell @kyrese.w @flutechick @gabrielle_vg @mooregrace_ @flautist820 @adamhappyberry @betaniacanas @betania.flute )

🥂Here’s to pushing boundaries and celebrating what happens when passion, culture, and artistry collide. 💫

I had the incredible pleasure of playing alongside regional Persian musicians in a celebration of their rich and vibrant culture. The evening was filled with the sounds of traditional instruments, soulful singing, and heartfelt stories and poetry woven into the music. It was a moment of connection, joy, and deep appreciation for a culture with centuries of artistic beauty. Moving and meaningful.
