New album ‘Numbers Game ’ out now 🎧
🇸🇬 I write sad songs, and eat.
POSTS STORIES REELS
I started my chapter in music when I was five, with the piano. A single note was all it took. Since then, it has been about making connections, experiencing new highs with close friends, honouring loved ones, and sharing life with people who embrace with open hearts. My best journeys have never really been about the destination, they’ve always been about those who came along for the ride. This resonated with my experience driving the Defender 110. More than a vehicle, it became a meeting point for friends, family, and a few spontaneous plans. Its 7-seat configuration gave me the freedom to bring more people along, while the new 13.1” touchscreen, updated Daytime Running Lights, and Driver Attention Monitor made every drive feel that little bit more effortless. Designed to bring people together, there’s room for everyone. I’ve never been fixated on the destination. I’ve always believed that joy and magic lie in the journey itself. —— 🎵: DEON - The First Last @defender #defender by @deontheband
Every story I live, each memory I collect, brings me to my next song 🎶 After more than a decade in music, I’ve come to realise how deeply my craft is shaped by the moments I encounter and people I meet. Some of the most profound lessons come from stepping outside the familiar — from Tokyo 🇯🇵 to Toronto 🇨🇦, Liverpool 🇬🇧 to Iceland 🇮🇸, and all the way back to Singapore 🇸🇬 — East to West 🌎, these adventures have taught me to navigate my emotions, unpack cultures, and connect with individuals on a deeper level. For the past 2 years, I’ve been working on new music — songs born from these experiences and the relationships that anchor me; even more recently from my travels to Japan. Every track carries a fragment of memory 🧠, a shared story ⏳, a lesson learned ✨. My body of work is my way of honouring them all. #sapporobeer #discovertheremarkable #drinkresponsibly by @deontheband

‘Numbers Game’ is out in the universe, forever, everywhere 🎵🎹 🕰️ I started writing the 11-track album in late-2022 with my old mac, and some old plugins. I wasn’t playing any shows, kinda gave up on music and performing, but I missed it all very much. I missed my old self as well, but I missed my band mates more. So this was another roll of the dice for me, and once I started again, it didn’t stop. Even started posting on socials 2 years ago just to say hi again. 🫂 If you’ve spent time walking with me during this period, you’ll know that you have a song for you in there, somewhere. This has been a tremendously exciting journey for me with plenty of ups and downs 🎢 more importantly, it has kept me feeling alive and happy. ☀️ Thank you for listening to a boy from Singapore, who just really loves writing music. I hope this album will be in the backdrop of your lives. 🎧🌱 Peace 🕊️ by @deontheband
