Why I do what I do. This is PERSONAL. by @dereknewborn

Cheryl didn’t struggle to lose weight.
She struggled to keep herself after programs ended.

She could follow plans.
She could push hard.
She could get results.

But every time the structure disappeared, old patterns came back.
Starving one day.
Overeating the next.
Looking put together on the outside while feeling disconnected on the inside.

This time wasn’t about trying harder.
It was about having a system that stayed steady.

The plan was simple. Everything was handled.
Food.
Workouts.
Structure.

That created space for something bigger to shift.

She stopped overworking her body to avoid what needed attention.
She stopped shrinking herself to survive.
She stayed present instead of collapsing after the program ended.

This is what real transformation looks like.
Not just a smaller body.
A steadier woman.

I realized…

I outgrew the version of me that built it.

I believe everything we’re connected to, we’re connected to by energy.

And at one time, that account was built from the need for approval.

The clearest proof was how hard it felt to delete it.

I wasn’t scared of losing reach.
I wasn’t scared of releasing an identity tied to a number.
When scared of something, you are controlled by it.

Followers.Likes.
Validation disguised as success.

For most of my adult life, I used my appearance and my career to feel seen.

To feel chosen. To feel enough.

Because I hadn’t learned how to give that to myself yet.

We’re controlled by more things than we realize.
Social media is one of the loudest…religion…the health industry…the food industry…politics…our thoughts and feelings…

I’m no longer willing to build from attachment anymore.
Only build from alignment.

This next chapter isn’t about being liked.
It’s about being led where God is trying to lead me.

To my truth. To my boldness. Back to what I forgot along time ago…
I was made in God’s image.

I have to embody it

I’m excited to connect and vibe with you here.
To build something clean.

Something grounded. Something rooted in value.

And to let God use me however He sees fit.

👇 Now your turn.

What’s one thing you know you’ve outgrown but haven’t released yet?

Comment it below.

Let this be the moment you stop carrying what no longer fits.

What you’re avoiding is costing you everything. by @dereknewborn

We don’t hold onto our labels because they’re true.
We hold onto them because they’re useful.
A label means you never have to find out what happens if you really try again. by @dereknewborn
