Sometimes life gets hard not because you’re going backward, but because moving forward requires something from you that the old version of you hasn’t learned yet.

More courage.
More patience.
More discipline.
More surrender.
More faith in yourself when there is absolutely no evidence yet that things are going to work out.

And that’s the brutal part.

You usually don’t know you’re becoming stronger while you’re becoming stronger.

It just feels heavy.

It feels uncertain.

It feels like you’re losing.

But sometimes the chapter that nearly convinces you to stop is the very chapter that changes who you are enough to handle what comes next.

So when it gets hard, don’t automatically assume you’ve taken a wrong turn.

Maybe you’re simply somewhere you’ve never been before.

Keep going.

You haven’t read the best part yet.

PRIVATE INVITE ONLY > A room full of people you’ve never met. Different geography. Different scars. Different kinds of hungry. One table. One night. No idea what happens next.

DM @derrickgrahn “DINNER” if your curiosity has teeth.

ABOUT LAST NIGHT… 🥂

160 people. Almost all strangers.

No phones. No speeches. No forced networking. No agenda.

Just a room full of interesting people at CATCH Scottsdale actually talking, laughing, introducing themselves and making connections they probably never would have made otherwise.

That was the experiment.

And judging by last night… I think we’re onto something.

A huge thank you to CATCH Scottsdale for giving us such an incredible room to bring everyone together.

And thank you to everyone who showed up, trusted the idea and made the room what it was.

This is just the beginning.

The people are the point. 🥂

#Scottsdale and #Phoenix…
I’m hosting a private, Guest-List-Only event this Sunday, August 30th, at CATCH Scottsdale.

Ladies, I’m sorry, but the Guest List for women is officially closed. I’m only adding women to the wait list in case someone cancels.

But men, listen up.

I have room for SEVEN more ambitious, successful men to round out the room.

If that sounds like you, or you know someone I should invite, DM me: “GUEST LIST.”

Seven spots for men. That’s all I have left.

And ladies, if you want to be on standby, DM me “WAIT LIST.” If a spot opens up, I’ll let you know.

Your brain is highly sensitive to social rejection, which is why embarrassment can feel much bigger than the actual stakes.

But every time you do the awkward thing, risk being seen, and discover that you’re still okay, you give your brain new evidence:

“This isn’t dangerous.”

Confidence isn’t never feeling embarrassed.

It’s realizing embarrassment can’t hurt you nearly as much as avoiding your life can.

There’s a strange gap between knowing what makes us feel our best and actually doing it consistently. This morning reminded me that I don’t need a new plan, a new challenge, or another burst of motivation—I already know the habits that work for me. The real work is turning those habits into a lifestyle instead of something I keep restarting.

Sunday, August 30th | Those on the list… we’ll see you there. Those who didn’t make it on the list, DM @derrickgrahn to request access to future private events, dinners, brunches, and more.
