@beebsterfever (Caitlin) is back for another monthly #daturastyle improv session! Thu Oct 15, 7:15-8:30pm.

Join us for a Datura Style improv jam session! Caitlin will guide dancers through group improvisation using Datura Style vocabulary, moving between fast and slow combinations and incorporating stall movements, shadowing, flip steps, lead changes, and various zil patterns. We’ll begin with a brief warm-up, then jump into dancing together through improvisational flow before winding down with a cool-down. Zils encouraged!

Try these fun layering drills we did last Monday in my L2 Salimpour technique & Vocab class. In this video I’m doing twists halftime with various layers of ribcage slides, ribcage locks, squares and circles. In class the twists were actually full time and we played alternating 4&5s cymbal patterns but I thought doing these drills at half the speed (halftime) was a great way to build up to the crazy one we did last week 😜 no stress of cymbals. See you on the dance floor weekly classes and fall session is cooking at @desert_dream_dance_co_studio 🕺🏽💃🏻
