MOVEMENT CHALLENGE FOR ARTSAKH #Movement4Artsakh

120,000 indigenous Armenians have been forcibly displaced from their ancestral homeland in Artsakh - the latest chapter of ethnic cleansing Armenians have endured for generations. But too few outside the Armenian community understand this present-day reality. Genocide thrives on silence, and the risk to southern Armenia is now quite high.

We need new strategies to spread awareness to an audience beyond the echo chamber. Your movement will be a powerful act of solidarity. Dance in prayer with me to bring urgent support to those in need & clear the path toward liberation.

Free from danger, free from mental and physical suffering, free to be happy and joyous, free Thank you for all who have and are paving the way to liberation, including all the that more than h##world is doing to meet us in this liberation. May we all be Free and Liberated!

“How beautiful are the hills and vineyards in the summer days,One hand uproots spies, and the other plants freedom. We salute all the prisoners; we salute all the heroes. Let the ululuations sound and sing on the mountains of fire… Freedom, freedom, freedom, freedom.” #freeartsakh #movement4artsakh by @desert_seeds

Botanical Printing Experimentation at its finest🌼 This natural dyeing process originated in Japan, called Hapa Zome, it was also worked with in India!(thanks for sharing this @nicolembarakat) It was so fun and magical to get to play with this technique with my SWANA kin @laratboulos 🥰 As we are both part of a plant circle with @riverroseremembrance so we figured we had to sit with Caper together; Lara saw patterns of swirls and circles, as well as had a vision of a person standing with a big scarf blowing in the wind. I got a clear message to make a love potion. So we brought our visions to the garden that Lara is so beautifully tending and asked which of the plants wanted to come on this journey with us, to be part of this potion manifesting as a plant printed kin cloth🌿 we placed a drop of Caper essence into the center of the cloth and allowed the patterns to unfold as we worked with the plants and cloth. Cosmos was the anchor flowers in the center, the universe in a flower, adorned by chamomile, frilled by Rue, and held together by Indigo 🌼 It was such a joyous and magical experience as we saw this alchemy in front of our hearts and eyes. We were giddy kids through every step, to say the least. The awe of witnessing and partaking in this ancient way of co-creating and being, is beyond words. I’m still in love with every step of this process and so beyond grateful for this serendipitous gathering of hearts and hands and bellies of course haha🪬thank you Lara for inviting me into your home, for sharing in meals, coffee and love with me, for co-creating with me and the plants and for teaching me so much about natural dyeing 💚 by @desert_seeds

Chill Out with these natural beauties 🌺 In the heat of summer I love to make tea to support my body’s natural pathway to cooling down, this tea is one of my favorites because it tasty but also very pretty and super easy to make 🌿 This dynamic duo is a potent elixir for the scorching summer heat. While hibiscus reduces body heat, mint works its magic by promoting sweat production, allowing your body to cool down naturally. They also support the body’s immune system and naturally reduce stress, win win win 💚

🌺 Throw in a handful of dried Hibiscus flowers into a pot, add hot water and let it sit for 30 or more minutes
🌺 Add ice to cool it down or put it in the fridge
🌺 Add a splash of Orange Blossom Water and some fresh mint leaves( I add to cold tea instead of hot because it gives a fresher flavor)
🌺 Pour over some ice and ENJOY!

Magic of Plants! Earlier this spring I was out by Jamla springs talking to the plants and a local came to see what I was upto. We got to talking and for some reason starting talking about living with a chronic illness and turns out he had very similar experience in his body and told me that the local healer told him to eat a fig soaked in olive oil first thing in the morning for a month. He said that all his symptoms went away and life went back to normal after that! I love these kinda of connections and that he was able to find support in such a simple recipe. So I did my research about this remedy and this is what I found:
- supports bringing down inflammation in the body
- Keeps digestive system in check and working smoothly
- Dense in anti-oxidants and fatty acids
- Can be used topically to relieve eczema and psoriasis
- Can help sooth coughs and support respiratory system
- Can alleviate hemorrhoid symptoms
- Can help balance out blood sugar levels
It’s a simple recipe: soak dried figs in olive oil and start using after 48 hours. Eat one fig each morning before anything else, for the duration of a month. I’m trying this remedy starting tomorrow, will let you know how it goes!

Many Solstice Blessings to everyone 🌞 As the longest day of the year, the Summer Solstice represents a time of heightened energy and illumination. An opportunity for growth, renewal, and transformation. encouraging us to offer our old patterns to the fires of transformation, embrace change, and step into our brightest potential.
Yesterday we celebrated Summer Solstice with a sunrise and sunset wheat harvest @metaland. We picked each ear by hand, tapping into all the energies that made this moment possible, appreciating the micro and macro of it all. Witnessing the difference an intention makes, and what can come of releasing control and allowing life the space to flourish 🌼
May the warmth of the sun invigorate your spirit, may the wheat harvest remind us of the abundance and gratitude that surround us, and May your fires burn bright! Wishing you all a magical Summer! 🌾✨

I love the transitional times between seasons, where the shifts of colors from the vibrant green of the spring to the golden yellows of summer seem to happen over night. It’s in the small and personal where I find the magic sprinkled throughout the landscapes of this wondrous place. This week, periwinkle hues are captivating my eyes and heart, subtle yet vibrant. The spines of the globe thistle before it flowers, the common blue butterfly wings, the stems and thorns of Erygno beauties… calling in me in, reminding me to tune in, allow myself to bewitched by the magic of subtlety. I spent an hour sitting with this butterfly, witnessing, enjoying, loving, beholding the vibrant colors of her wings as she takes flight 💚 I hope you are finding these moments in your reality these days, even if just here through these picture and glimpses that I offer you 🌿 #seasons #flowerstagram #thistle #spring #summer #nature #jordan #earth #love #periwinkle #butterfly by @desert_seeds

Lovely Rose Juice! I learned this recipe several years ago from @whenapricotsbloom and have been making it every year since. I love it because it’s incredibly tasty but also so easy to make and the roses are abundant this time of year. I don’t follow specific measurements, the Teta way, I implore to try it out and play. I find it’s very soothing to the spirit and the mind, and so refreshing on a hot day. I tried it today with my ginger bug, recipe coming soon, and it was an absolute delight to all my senses. Let me know if you’ve tried this or are planning on trying it out in the comments 🌿 by @desert_seeds

These days it’s hard to find an apothecary that’s knowledgeable and trustworthy, so when I know one, it’s a treasure I want to share with others. Abu Kaff Apothecary is a wonderful place that is tended by generations of practitioners of herbal medicine. They harvest local plants and believe in the power of plants growing in their natural environments instead of cultivating them themselves. They create their own herbal blends, as well as infused oils and hydrosols. I’ve been supported by their medicines and knowledge a few times over and I am so grateful for them and for keeping this wealth of knowledge in tact in a world that’s fast moving away from the natural world. Keep them in mind if you are in Jordan and looking for trusted herbal support. They are located in Madaba in Madaba Algharbi Street across from Farouk Bakery #apothecary #عطاری #trustworthy #knowledgable #حب #اعشاب #herbs #love #jordan #الاردن #مادبا #madaba by @desert_seeds

Have you ever taken a deep breath while walking through the forest and noticed that sweet, earthy aroma? 🍂🌳 This wonderful smell comes from the beautiful process of decomposition happening on the forest floor. Leaves, branches, and other organic matter are broken down by a variety of fungi and other decomposers, releasing nutrients back into the soil and creating the rich ecosystem that supports the growth of new life. The sweet, earthy aroma of decay in the forest can also be a pleasant and grounding sensory experience, connecting us to the natural world and helping us feel more relaxed and centered. I hope these pictures can transport you to the forest, and evoke your olfactory memories🍄🌿 this post is for you @witchykhalto
