AI isn’t just answering questions anymore. It’s booking the table. Since April, Google’s AI can search, compare, and reserve for people in Canada. When AI picks for your customers, they only see a short list. Is your business on it? DM us “AUDIT” and we’ll show you how you show up on Google Maps and in AI answers. #TorontoSmallBusiness #TorontoBusiness #AIforBusiness #LocalSEO #SmallBusinessTips #ShopLocalTO by @designintent.studio
Would a stranger know what you sell? People decide whether to follow, buy, or message in a few seconds. They look at your profile first. Here's the five-point test. 1. Name: add what you do and your city. The name field is searchable. Your handle isn't the same thing. 2. Bio: three lines. What you do. Who it's for and where. What to do next. 3. Link: one link, one next step. Book, order or ask. 4. Highlights: name them after the questions people ask. Services, prices, reviews, FAQs, contact. 5. Pinned posts: pin what you sell, proof it works, and who's behind it. How many did you pass? Save this and check your profile tonight. Fix one thing a day. Want a second pair of eyes? Comment "PROFILE" and we'll review yours for free. Know a business owner who needs this? Send it to them. #SmallBusinessTips #InstagramTips #TorontoSmallBusiness #SocialMediaToronto by @designintent.studio
Ask ChatGPT for brunch near you and it names a few places. Not ten. Not a page of links. So how does it choose? It reads what's already online about you. Your listings. Your reviews. Your website. What local sites say about you. There's no ad slot and no way to pay for a spot. In one large study, a business with 200 reviews at 4.4 stars was more likely to be recommended than one with 2,000 reviews at 3.8. A higher rating can beat a bigger pile. What helps: - Complete your Google and Bing listings, and keep them the same everywhere - Ask happy customers for reviews, and reply to every one - Spell out your services and your neighbourhood on your website - Get mentioned in local blogs, news and "best of" lists - Keep posting so your business looks active - Fix wrong hours or addresses at the source Then test it yourself. Search "best [your service] near [your neighbourhood]" three different ways. Write down who it names. Check again next month. Not sure where you stand? Comment "AUDIT" or DM us and we'll check for free. Hi, Toronto 👋 We’re DesignIntent. Before we tell you what we do, here’s what we noticed: the way people choose a local business has changed. They ask AI → check your reviews → check your Instagram → decide. Miss one step and they’re off to the place next door. And most local businesses aren’t even showing up in step one. That’s why we started DesignIntent, a growth studio for Toronto small businesses. Our founder, Nauka, spent 6+ years as a product manager and designer mapping how people make decisions in apps used by thousands. Now we bring that same product thinking to cafés, salons, studios and shops across the city. How we work: Launch → Get seen → Measure → Improve What we do: 📱 Social media management 🎨 Design & branding 🔍 Business & customer discovery ⚙️ AI automation 🎯 Go-to-market strategy 📍 Google & AI search visibility We’re taking on a small group of founding clients this fall. Curious whether AI recommends your business? Comment “AUDIT” or DM us, and we’ll check for free. #TorontoSmallBusiness #ShopLocalTO #TorontoCafe #TorontoSalon #TorontoBusiness #LocalSEO #TorontoMarketing #SmallBusinessTO by @designintent.studio
