“Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭1‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭NIV‬‬

So excited!! I want to announce that I will be competing in a Fashion and Talent show at my home church, Christian Tabernacle Church, on Saturday, October 17th!
🥳🥳🙌🏽🙌🏽 And you’re invited! 🥳😊

This event is a church fundraiser at my home church where I grew up. This is our 2nd year hosting this event and it’s basically a really fun fundraiser where different people from the church and community will be competing in two different competitions: a fashion competition and a talent competition, which will both be judged by a panel of judges. The event will also have artists selling their artwork. And anybody who wants to come watch the event can come watch and enjoy lunch and a good show! It only costs $30 and all the money raised goes to support the church women’s department, who is hosting this event!

Last year, I competed in both the fashion and talent competitions, which you can see in this post. It was so fun! I didn’t win but I really enjoyed being apart of this event! And I appreciate everyone who came out to see me walk the red carpet and perform ❤️🙏🏽❤️😊

This year, I will be competing in both the fashion and talent competitions again and I hope you can come see me wearing my new dress 👗 and performing 2 of my songs 🎶! I have a special blue dress I’m going to be wearing in the fashion competition. I will also be doing 2 songs! For me it’s not about winning since this is a fundraiser, but it would still be cool to win if I could! Haha - and best of all we get to gather as a community and glorify God!!

If you’re free on October 17th at 11am and you live in the Bay Area, I’d encourage you to join us! It will be so fun!

There will be kids, teens, and adults (both men and women) competing in the fashion competition. And there will also be people of all ages competing in the talent competition. There’s going to be singing, Christian rap, Christian comedy, and other special talents being presented!

We also have a fashion designer coming to talk about her fashion journey and answer Q&A! Yay!

Lastly, another thing that is so special is that my mom is apart of the amazing team putting together this event! Please come support if you can 🥳😊❤️ by @desiharris

Haven’t posted any basketball clips in a while so I wanted to post something just to say I’m still playing! 😊🏀 I haven’t been in the gym much lately though because I’ve had an injury in both my feet for the past few months where my doctor said they are hurting often from overuse. When I run, walk, or stand for more than like 30-45 minutes, my feet really hurt. So I’ve been trying to take it easy. But Lord willing, I’ll be back soon!! 😊 by @desiharris

Had an amazing birthday week last week!! 🥳😊🙌🏽😊Went to Monterey for 2 days with my friend @burnett_sheischosen! We had a great time visiting the aquarium, riding GoCars, hiking, and eating great food! It was AWESOME!! So grateful!

Guys, today has been an AMAZING Birthday so far!! Thanks to everyone for the birthday love!! 🥳🎉🎉 I appreciate everyone so much!!

I wanted to share a praise report!! Today I had a studio session as a birthday present to myself and it was crazy amazing and super exceeded my expectations! I originally just had the goal that I would start working on my album for my birthday and enjoy time in the studio recording - doing something fun that God has called me to that also brings me joy and great fulfillment! My goal was to record 3 songs in 4 hours. I thought that would be a great birthday.

But today was so fun and so productive, we just started knocking out songs out super quick. We ended up doing WAY MORE than I expected!! I can’t believe it but we recorded 6 SONGS in 4 hours!! YAYY!! We were LOCKED IN!! 🥳😱🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🎉🎉🥳🥳🥳😱🥳🥳

Now we have 12 SONGS total recorded for my album!! And my goal is 15 songs! So in one day we got like 75% done with the goal!!

How God has inspired this music is crazy and so surreal!! In just a matter of a few days, I went from having my 6 songs on my EP to now having 12 SONGS recorded for my album!!! Hallelujah!! This is so cool!! Only 3 more songs to go until I reach my goal of having 15 songs!!!

We still have to refine the mixing to get my vocals to sound as good as possible and may need to rerecord a few parts, but at this rate I can probably finish this project much sooner than I originally expected!! Yay!!!! I’m so happy with how this project suddenly sprung to life!!

With that being said, check out these short video clips from my session today, showing parts of 2 of the tracks we recorded today! So excited for this project! 🙌🏽🙌🏽😊😊😊❤️ by @desiharris
