Some portraits carry a story far bigger than the frame.

I’m incredibly grateful to have been invited to photograph the survivors behind Voices of Survival for their Love Thy Neighbour campaign.

The first Australian organisation bringing together survivors of war, genocide and natural disasters to share their stories of faith, hope and survival. The session incorporated survivors from Rwanda, Sudan, Burundi, Cambodia, the Holocaust and more - and witnessing the bond between them all was truely moving.

These portraits are about witnessing, listening and helping to tell stories that deserve to be heard.

I’m deeply grateful to each survivor for their vulnerability, openness and trust in allowing me to capture their portrait and play a small part in helping share their story.

I can’t wait to see these portraits come together and continue their journey into an exhibition one day.
