Highly recommend reading for—everyone. Short summaries of incredibly brave, creative, dedicated women who did much more than their fair share to change the world, and usually had to fight the patriarchy to do it. by @desopohomehandmade
Today is a perfect day for a tribute to President Obama, an absolute legend. He lead this country with intelligence, integrity, grace, and deep respect for all people. He was and is also a great husband and father, and a true public servant. So many of us miss his true leadership in a time of such horrific corruption and criminality in the current shit show of an administration. #bringbackintelligence #bringbackdiplomacy #bringbacklibertyandjusticeforall #trumpisacriminal #impeachtrumpathirdtime by @desopohomehandmade

This excerpt from Katharine Graham’s memoir shows a note her father wrote when he transferred ownership of @washingtonpost to her and her husband. Kay Graham would go on to bravely support the paper in its investigation into the Watergate crimes. I wish the Post and other mainstream media were as brave now, with both the crimes against humanity being perpetrated in Gaza with the help of the US, and the (not unrelated) travesty of a shitshow of the trump administration. Anyhoo, our donations for the first two weeks of August go to the Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund @thepcrf with the hope of making a drop of a difference in what is an unmitigated catastrophe and a countless number of #crimesagainsthumanity #100daysofgiving #dosomething #impeachtrump #prosecutenetanyahu by @desopohomehandmade

Someone’s exhausted after having canine company chaos for the weekend😬 Anyway, our donations for July 17-21 go to Slaughterhouse Survivors (those girls are such heroines; not many people can commit to pulling pet dogs off meat trucks, dogs who would have been literally tortured to death and then roasted and eaten), Kabul Small Animal Rescue, Detroit Pit Crew Dog Rescue, and Starts With One Today, a group of brave and compassionate souls helping both people and animals living on the streets. @slaughterhouse_survivors @kabul_animal_rescue @detroitpitcrewdogrescue @startswithonetoday #100daysofgiving #dosomething #animalrescue #endanimalslaughter #endhomelessness #taxtherich by @desopohomehandmade
