3 years ago today I flew an unimaginable line thst had never been attempted before in thr rogue valley. I flew from Ruch to Mt Mclaughlin, Crater lake and Mt Thielson and landed in Chemult some 160 kilometers later. It was the most intense, edge of my seat white knuckled moments of my life. Running from thunder clouds all day using the pure stoke of the flow state and just believing that I would be provided with the next lift moment to moment. It was such an intense day that I didn't eat, drink or piss once in that 6 hr and 15 minute dream state. I'm super lucky that I didn't sink out on the middle of nowhere ( no landing zones for at least 2 hours of thst flight) as I flew that day in a pair of plastic crocs, cause I forgot half of my kit including my boots. Because I spent about 3 hours of thst flight above 13,000 feet without Oxygen I had hypoxia for most of the flight, which contributed to my delirium and caused me to loose feeling in my fingers for over 3 months...! But it was sooo worth it! To this day still the most epic adventure of my life!

Another day another 70km triangle. Which is quite small for this area, but I had lots to do today, couldn't quite blast off into undiscovered (for me anyways) territory solo today. You can get really deep real quick up here in Idaho, this place is a near infinite paragliders playground! Amazing climbs up to 15,000 feet up, climbing up beside clouds, and following cloud streets above epic deep mountain terrain. To traverse 3 different mountain ranges then land back at your truck hours later is a real trip! Hanging from dental floss, staying completely in tune with your wing to keep it open all day, riding the different vortexing streams of coherent masses exchanging energy through the various cycles and functions of the local atmosphere. Watching clouds will themselves into existence through their imploding vorticular flows, and becoming part of that cycle...

Back in the XC saddle after a full 7 month winter hiatus. It's not quite like riding a bike, allot you have to relearn after such a long pause, but the instinct and the flows state guide your every move, and the eagles show you the way! I top landed close to the base of Bora (which u can kind of see if these photos) and am taking a break while I wait for glass off to fly back to camp. I didn't get the best pictures today since it was bitter cold and rowdy up there...

There's no greater therapy then hiking a mountain with your bros to huck yourselves off in style. No therapy, no dopamine shortcut, no amount of s€x nothing can compare to the reward of applied skills, determination, the focus and the courage it takes to climb then fly off a mountain. There's no faking it, no half ass measures, no bullshiting your way through that, just real raw will and measured follow through. The comradery and brotherhood of those doing the work and working it out in the sky are second to none!
