Another custom build out the door! This gorgeous muddyfox courier arrived very worse for wear! @destroyordan asked us to build a comfy cruiser for him, his requirements were simple. Super comfy, simple 1x gearing, keep some of the original patina & make it a bit funky. Understood! Dan supplied the bike and we assisted with spec & part choices to achieve the desired look! The bike had clearly had a life & had lived outside for a number of years, meaning a lot of the original components were beyond it but it had good bones. We replaced just about everything, starting with a quality new (old) wheel set which was fully serviced & matched with everyone’s favourite tyres, the original wheels had succumbed to the elements. A full 1x8 wide range drivetrain fitted with some XT bling & a NOS old school chainring. A new BB & other consumables used, surprisingly the original headset was pristine inside! And a lovely loose proof system so worth using despite the damaged chrome. We also retained the original diacompe brakes which were cleaned and polished, some replacement brass adjustment washers also made, how cool is that signature underslung rear u brake?! HOT A full new cockpit to suit the style was put together, big chrome swoopy bars, some funk for the grips, a retro chunky DH stem that was cross drilled to run the front brake cable through without using a hanger (a nice touch we thought) And a funky saddle to go with the grips. All in all this was a fun commission to build up & Dan has been out enjoying it!! More like this please! #retrobike #vintagebike #clunkerbike #cafecruiser #bikebuild by @destroyordan

PS13 update! Suspension set up by the master @mautoworks_uk - I’m really bad for not posting stuff on @destroyordie unless it’s done or ‘perfect’ so I’ll be using this account for updates on cars, side quests and POV Dan content. What would you like to see more of? by @destroyordan
