welcome back to DPP: The Next Star Chat ⭐️ issue 11: The Rainlamps @therainlamps for issue 11, we’re meeting 𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓡𝓪𝓲𝓷𝓵𝓪𝓶𝓹𝓼, a western new york indie rock band whose music arrived in our inbox alongside something we couldn’t ignore: a handmade zine! the visuals caught our attention first, but their new album, 𝘿𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘽𝙪𝙨𝙝 𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙜𝙪𝙚𝙨, gave us even more reasons to stay. we talked about the story behind their band name, the baby chick that accidentally became an album cover, their DIY recording process, musical influences, and the radical optimism behind “𝙁𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙪𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙁𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧.” plus, their favorite songs, what’s coming next, and the very real struggle of getting independent music heard. read DPP: The Next Star Chat issue 11 now at dicepressplay.com 🎲 sometimes all it takes is a baby chick, a dollhouse, and a whole lot of great music 🐣 #DicePressPlay #TheNextStarChat #TheRainlamps #IndieRock #IndependentMusic by @dicepressplay

welcome back to DPP: The Next Star Chat ⭐️ issue 10: 𝑺𝒐𝒇𝒂 𝑺𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒆 🛋️ for issue 10, we sat down with Sofa Store, the indie music project of Joey Lau, whose journey has taken him from Shanghai to Nashville and New York City, bringing together Japanese city pop, indie funk, and a wonderfully goofy creative spirit. we talked about his latest EP Only Joey, the musical influences that shaped him, his love for unconventional songwriting, and why staying true to himself matters more than following the mainstream. read DPP: The Next Star Chat issue 10 now at dicepressplay.com — link in bio! ⭐️ #dicepressplay #theNextStarChat #SofaStore #OnlyJoey #independentartist by @dicepressplay
