🌻Sunflower facts 🌻

Did you know sunflowers aren't just beautiful - they're botanical marvels? Here are some amazing facts about these golden giants:

🌱 They're not one flower - What looks like a single bloom is actually made up of thousands of tiny flowers called florets!

📍 They track the sun - Young sunflowers follow the sun across the sky each day (called heliotropism). Once mature, they typically face east.

🐝 Bee magnets - A single sunflower head can contain up to 2,000 seeds, providing tons of food for pollinators.

$Beautiful sunrise taken on February 8th 2020 around 7am 😍. I've decided on finally posting this. . . Fun facts about sunsets and sunrises 💡: . ✅ Sunrises occur even before the sun makes it to the horizon . ✅ Sunlight is white in color. Yes that's right. It contains all colors of the rainbow. As sunlight reaches earth's atmosphere, it mixes other gas molecules and travels through water droplets, resulting in a change in color. . ✅ The timing of the sunrise and sunsets varies througout the year. . ✅ Before we witness a sunset, it's actually gone. Sunsets are nothing but an illusion, because what we see in the sky is the refraction of the sun. Earth's atmosphere blends the sunlight, which enables us to. However, by that time, the sun has already dipped into the horizon. (It takes sunlight 8 minutes and 20 seconds to reach earth). . What do you prefer? Sunrise or sunset? 🤔 . Hope you enjoyed this 😄. . . . . Taken with my Galaxy S9, no filter. Camera settings = f/1.5 1/500 4.3mm ISO 80 by @didirpictures$

A picture of a rather particular tree trunk I found not so far from my apartment.
.
The trunk is the main part of the tree, and it is covered with bark which protects it from external damage (from animal or climate)
.
❗Some cool facts about trees.
.
.
✅ Trees are the longest living organisms on Earth
.
✅ One of the oldest living tree in the world is estimated at around 5,000 years! 😱
.
✅ Trees can help reduce stress. A research shows that being around trees is good for our mental and social well-being.
.
✅ Trees help reduce the effects of climate change. A mature tree can absorb more than 21kg of carbon dioxide each year, thus removing pollution we humans cause.

☁️Stratocumulus clouds ☁️
.
Stratocumulus clouds are patchy gray or white clouds that often have a dark honeycomb-like appearance.
.
✅Fun facts about clouds
.
Many factors determine the amount of water a cloud can hold. With an average of 5g of water per cubic meter of cloud. So an average cloud that holds water can weight roughly
400, 000 kg! As much as an Airbus A380😲
.
Most often, stratocumulus produce no precipitation, and when they do, it is generally only light rain or snow. However, these clouds are often seen at either the front or tail end of worse weather, so they may indicate storms to come, in the form of thunderheads or gusty winds
.
Their altitude varies from 500 to 2000 meters.
