softness in a world so rigid can often be hard to muster & maintain
but i vow to stay open
the warmth of your love
reminds me it is worthwhile

posting this as a way to keep myself accountable!

thanks to everyone who has followed and contributed so early in the journey! the initial zine is being tweaked, it’s taking time. i’m trying to get better at juggling my office job, mental health, & creative passions…..like this one! hoping to expand to irl events one day, but currently finding my balance.

come along with us for the ride :)

gm internet, @luxprincesa here!

dijon press has been a little quiet lately, but we are cooking up some good things this summer 😘😤

on a personal note, i’ve been facing some health challenges that have required a lot of mental & physical energy. thankful for my support system during this time (iykyk💖). i may be a little slow to respond while learning how to balance this and Life, but i’m here nonetheless so don’t be a stranger.

renewal will be coming out this summer & we also have some music things in store 😎 ALSO keep an eye out for our new look courtesy of @doecreativeco.

to our cheerleaders and believers - thank you, we love you 💖 by @dijonpress

✨interrupting our regularly scheduled programming for a v fun announcement✨

@lex_mcmurphy & @luxprincesa will be spinning yet again all summer long on @wzbc every saturday afternoon!

🌸you can tune in on 90.3 FM (BOS area) OR stream online at wzbc.org🌸

support college radio! support your local music scene/venues & each other! by @dijonpress

howdy! my day job was kicking my butt last week BUT we’re halfway through our hellos! starting off your Mondaze w the lovely @squiglie. Mariana is a screen-printer and all around design wizard whose works are as soft as they are colorful. oh & they’re also 1/2 of @doozypress (new collection coming soon! be there or be square!!)

we also want to shine a light on @smapahm! Sam’s photography shows snapshots in time that often make the viewer feel a nostalgic warmth. their work finds the intimacy of the every day. but don’t take my word for it, take a view for yourself!

everyone say HEY! to Mariana & Sam 🌞✨ by @dijonpress

up next is the ethereal @winleywoo. creating is in Kelly’s nature whether it be through songwriting & even animation! as we move into post-COVID living (hopefully?), be sure to keep your eyes peeled for any future shows in Brooklyn and beyond!

but wait, we also can’t forget the one, the only @matadorthefirst. master of portmanteaus, Matador shares his penchant for poetry at ORL staples like @orlandofringe & various slams around town. that’s what we appreciates about him!

everyone say a hearty how are you now to Kelly & Matador ☺️🌸 by @dijonpress

renewal wouldn’t exist without these folks so let’s get to some introductions! first up is @nataliemariawrites - a talented writer (& wonderful friend) residing in the Bay Area. her book, the way the waves fell, can be found via Amazon or irl at Shakespeare & Co in NY.

the parade of hellos continue with local poet & wordsmith @calmskymyles! if you ever get a chance, catch them when it’s safe to see a slam again irl & look for their work in the url space.

everyone say howdy Nat & Myles 🤠🌿 by @dijonpress

hi bbs & happy friday ✨
ty to all who sent in their submissions for our FIRST zine ever! it’s been so fun to see everyone’s work & start piecing it together.

in the meantime - pls enjoy a little sneaky peek of the cover from the ever so talented @ewbenoit 🦋 by @dijonpress

sometimes the sun shines through (2018)

spent this morning reminiscing & thinking of the ways i’ve been renewed. one thing i’ve missed throughout this last year is traveling. every so often i get the itch to go somewhere. this was taken on a trip to the Bay Area to reunite w some of my best friends after 3 years apart. that trip was just a wonder. have you ever visited somewhere & felt seen? like everything collided and it was meant for that moment?

the sun is bright today, i’m thankful.
