“Sweet Kick” is a footwear design project carried out in 2024 in collaboration with “the Art Company”.
The concept stems from the motto: “so sweet it makes you sick” and aims to evoke the strange sensation of witnessing something sweet and “pure” being violated and corrupted by something dark and cold.
This design explores the duality and blend of a cheerful, colorful, and sweet style with a darker and more unusual style. The shoe base is presented as the sweet object, inspired by cakes, with bright and vibrant colors, featuring a heart-shaped cut-out; corrupted by a darker side, reflected in the ribbon that enters and exits the shoe.
The design showcases a customizable aspect with small interchangeable pen
dants or charms that attach to the shoe’s ribbons. by @davidddnf
