Loved by you, drawn by me ✏️

Hi, I’m Curtis - the artist and founder behind Discovered by Darcy 👋🏻

Every illustration you see here, from our ready-to-shop designs to fully bespoke pet portraits, is hand-drawn by me, one pet at a time. This little business began as a creative outlet and has grown into a way of celebrating the bond we share with our animals - with your pets (and mine!) at the heart of everything I create 🧡

I turn photos of your pets into thoughtful, wearable illustrations, printed onto clothing and accessories designed to be worn, loved and lived in. No mass production, no shortcuts - just care, creativity and a whole lot of love for dogs.

Whether you’re here to:
• find clothing inspired by your breed
• commission a portrait of your own pet
• or simply follow along behind the scenes

I’m really glad you’re here 🥰 by @discoveredbydarcy

Okay, just one more Cornwall photo-dump 📸

I hope you don't mind me casually offloading my camera roll onto the grid 😅 There are just so many photos from our trip that I'd love to share, and even a ten-slide gallery-style carousel couldn't squeeze them all in! 🤭

Peep our matching Dry Robes, which were a genuine beach staple. Partly because of the sea and sand, partly because it was October so naturally, we got rained on 😂

Once more, the girls are both wearing our favourites @brambleandfriends in every photo, plus a close up of Darcy's sea-themed collar making itself completely at home on the beach 🥹They're currently taking some time away on maternity leave, but our code DARCY saves 10% when they open again soon ☺️ by @discoveredbydarcy

SWIPE to build the dream wardrobe for a German Shepherd lover 🥹

Sometimes it's tough to visualise the end result when designing something new, and we strive to make deciding between what feels like *endless* options as smooth as possible 😮‍💨

So... why not take a peek at what others with the same design brief opted for? 🤝

🐕 Effortlessly stylish
🐕 Practical options for every adventure
🐕 Guilt-free & sustainable
🐕 Screams 'I love my German Shepherd'!

If your Sherpa has been living in the back of your wardrobe all summer, consider this your sign to bring it back out 🍂

For THIS WEEK ONLY, our fan-favourite Sherpas & Sherpa Gilets are £15 OFF with code SHERPAWEATHER 👀

Because as the colder weather settles in, these are the pieces that you'll reach for every single day - dog walks, muddy adventures, coffee runs, chilly mornings in the garden… basically anywhere you need to keep warm without feeling like you've wrapped yourself in your duvet 😂

And, of course, you can make yours completely you:

🐾 Choose one of our themed slogans
🐾 Add a caricature of your dog
🐾 Or immortalise them with a custom portrait

However you choose to wear it, it's another little way to express dog-motherhood *your way* 🧡

Available in 5 colours, sizes XXS-3XL, our Sherpas have been keeping hundreds of DBD customers cosy through countless wintry walks - and they've never once disappointed.

£15 OFF this week only - if you've been thinking about getting one (or adding another colour to your collection 👀) - this is your moment 💰

Your future chilly-weather self (and probably your dog) will thank you 🤝🏻 by @discoveredbydarcy

1300+ dog designs... and somehow your dog is still the one we don't have 😂

We really have tried - we've drawn over 100 unique breeds, with variations of colours and features - all the way down to the floppy ears and fluffy tails! 🥲

But sometimes your dog is just… yours 🥰

And that's why we created Custom Companions - for the dogs who don't quite fit the catalogue.

For the mixes, the oddballs, the unusual markings. The dogs that have been puzzled together from half a dozen breeds, and somehow look like none of them! 😄

Custom Companions = a bespoke drawing from your photos, for just £10.

Because your dog doesn't need to look like anyone else's to deserve being celebrated 🥹 by @discoveredbydarcy

Postcards from Cornwall... 🌊

Apparently there was a little hitch with one of our scheduled posts last week, and the planned 'we're off on holiday!' didn't make it to Instagram 😵‍💫

We and the girls took to the coasts of Cornwall for a few days to celebrate Bradley's birthday, and it was such a lovely week of celebrations and recharging. These photos are such a small sampling of the memories made, and a genuine joy to share 🥹

A special shout out to @brambleandfriends for keeping the girls looking their absolute best all week long - we took a selection of our favourite pieces and had so many lovely compliments on their attire. Tamsyn, we look forward to seeing what you create next 🧡 And as always, you guys can use code DARCY to save when they reopen 🤭

Thank you to everyone who has placed orders over the past week or so - I see you! - and your patience is hugely appreciated. We are back in the office, and ready to get your orders heading out to you! 🥰 by @discoveredbydarcy

The glamorous life of a small business owner: heat press, dog hair and approximately 900 cups of tea ☕

But seeing the finished pieces neatly folded like this? Gets me every time 🥹 by @discoveredbydarcy

“We'll get one done when they're older.”

But… why? 🥹 Because the puppy in front of you isn't finished yet?

That's precisely the point.

🎨 Their colour might change.
👂 Their ears might change.
🐶 Their face might change.
😵‍💫 Their body will definitely change.

And one day you'll look back at those puppy photos and wonder how something so tiny ever fit in your arms 😭 So why not capture them now?

Embrace the wonky ears, the enormous paws, the questionable haircut. Enjoy the puppy fluff and the complete lack of personal boundaries 😂

Because these are the memories you'll wish you could step back into.

Custom Companion illustrations are just £10 - made from your favourite photo and created to capture your pup exactly as they are today.

Tiny, chaotic and entirely yours 🧡 by @discoveredbydarcy

POV: you said you didn't need more dog-themed clothing...

... but then remembered that your dog is actually the most important member of the household 👀😂

So obviously, it's necessary 🐶 Who else has accidentally built an entire wardrobe around their dog? 🙋‍♀️ by @discoveredbydarcy
