A cod of this calibre from a smaller system like this is something I’ll never forget. A fish of a lifetime, from exactly the kind of river I’d always hoped it would come from and to get it on a surface bite the way I’d hoped for. I’ve been visiting this spot for the past five years, mainly to hunt, but I’ve always dreamed of walking the tight granite river and finding a truly big fish. 95cm of granite-country Murray cod. I can only hope there will be a few more like this over the years to come. The hard work and km’s always pays! Immortalised by the legends at @ocean_ink_studio_au. by @dispatch_release

After a years worth of hours on the water with @artifishal_offerings chasing threadies to finally landing one, then to have released it and have a giant sea eagle snatch it back out of the water metres from us has got to have been one of the wildest starts to a session I’ve had in a long while. The stoke was REAL! by @dispatch_release

Very stoked to get 4 jacks in 2 sessions after not a lot of fishing the last couple of months. Good to see them fired up still. Another surface eat on the megabass dog - x 120mm by @dispatch_release

This rain is a killer, no fishing, trapped inside and losing my mind. So here’s a reheat from last week. Still waiting for this warmer weather… by @dispatch_release

Nice to break the donut curse with a couple of jacks the last couple days. Pulled this fella out of a tricky snag on an older rapala shad rap with the fishlogica FIC664ML and the Daiwa ryoga sv100 making easy work of this guy. Love the darker colours on them at the moment! by @dispatch_release

Epic paddle conditions and a nice little fella on the @mmdfishing splash prawn. Jacks a Jack! by @dispatch_release

The new set up is an absolute sniper rifle. The quality and workmanship that’s gone into the @fishlogica rods is really on another level. Paired with the @daiwaaustralia ryoga 100sv and @gomexusaus handle it’s by far the nicest setup I’ve ever owned and the feel of this combo is second to none! by @dispatch_release

Plenty of little silver bullets around lately, they’ve been extra angry lately. This dude pulled twice as hard as the jack I got 20 mins before it. Fun as! by @dispatch_release

Jacks are back. Time to wreak some havoc. by @dispatch_release

Couple of awesome quality bass out of the skinny stuff on foot with @shetland.au early morning over the weekend. Coming up on the best time of year chasing these guys. #australianbass by @dispatch_release

Two epic dusky’s on the super light gear that went 70cm and 56cm. Super fun sesh with the bro @_jai_fishing_ . by @dispatch_release

One unforgettable Murray cod, now immortalised forever. More than just a fish, this one was years in the making caught exactly the way I’d always wanted. Thank you @ocean_ink_studio_au for immortalising a memory I’ll carry forever. If you have a trophy fish of your own you’d love to see hung on the wall to scale, I can’t recommend a better place to get it done! by @dispatch_release
