We love seeing this Patrick Rubinstein, Sweet Hope, at home in our lovely art collector’s garden room! 💫🖼️ Rubinstein’s kinetic artworks are shipped directly from his studio in Paris to District Gallery. 💫🖼️🇫🇷 Come stop by the gallery to see more of his lenticular mixed media artworks or DM us here to make an appointment! Link in stories for current inventory 🔗🖼️ Rubinstein @patrick.rubinstein belongs to the Op Art and kinetic art movements, combining the technical principles of the optical arts with the theme of figuration in art. The success of this concept often overshadows the diversity of his work, which ranges from colourful figuration to geometric and poetic abstraction. We love how the viewer becomes engaged in these works! 💫🖼️🦋⚜️ 📍District Gallery- Cleveland’s premiere contemporary art destination District Gallery 3393 Tuttle Road Shaker Heights, OH 44122 ☎️ 216-218-9307 📲DM us here on IG 📧 info@district-gallery.com #cleveland #contemporaryart #artcollector #internationalart #kineticart by @districtgalleryart
🌋 Art made from volcanic rock? Yes, really! 🖼️🌋 We are so excited to welcome Bob Landström to District Gallery! Bob is an Atlanta-based contemporary artist whose colorful, textured paintings are made using crushed volcanic rock rather than traditional paint. It is such a fascinating process, and the results are even more beautiful in person. In a recent interview with FAULT Magazine, Bob shared what first inspired him to work with this unusual material: “Why not paint with Earth itself?” — Bob Landström He colors the crushed volcanic stone with pigments and works it onto canvas using trowels, knives, and even tools he invents himself. His paintings combine playful imagery, handwritten words, mathematical symbols, and references to science and spirituality. There’s always something new to discover when you look a little closer! 💫🪨🖼️ We especially love how Bob takes something so raw and ancient from the Earth and transforms it into art that feels fresh, colorful, and full of curiosity. We’re delighted to introduce his works to the gallery: Yimello, Birth, Ethosien, and Plumb Ocular. Come see them in person! The use of lava rocks is truly something you need to experience up close. 📍 District Gallery | Cleveland Tuesday–Saturday, 11–4 Read Bob’s wonderful interview in FAULT Magazine: Link in story 🔗 #BobLandstrom #ContemporaryArt #VolcanicRock #ClevelandArt #ArtAndScience by @districtgalleryart
