I want to announce a live musical treat! 5/18, 8-10 PM. On KVMR FM 89.5 FM

FATHER FRANK:

Father Frank is a genre-bending singer-songwriter born and raised in Northern California - now residing part time in the Seattle area. Most days, you’ll find them plucking away with songwriting, recording, or performing live - both locally and nationally; both solo and with a number of gifted collaborators.
Father Frank draws much inspiration from their fascination with the supernatural, human psychology, and bygone eras of history, with a vocal delivery often described as “bluesy”, “passionate”, “soulful,” and even, “haunting.” Their musical endeavors span primarily from vintage-inspired pop and folk to americana and alt-rock; with a healthy dose of novelty experimentation in their repertoire.
A prolific and oftentimes deeply personal songwriter with a diverse array of solo and cowritten tracks under their belt, Father Frank’s approach to lyricism tends toward wistful and confessional - featuring themes of uncomfortable self-reflection coupled with a strong desire to overcome their own darkness, and reach others on similar journeys.

GWEN:

Gwenhwyfar, also known as Under The Canopy, is a self-proclaimed songbird who’s been writing lyrics since the age of 11. At 15 years old - after getting a few songs under her belt - she remembers being asked what she wanted to be. She’s since committed to music full swing, and has now been singing and playing professionally for 7 years.
Gwenhwyfar studied at American River College, where she received her AA in Music Recording. Along with her love of song, she has a goal of leaving the world better than she found it.
When she’s not performing live, Gwen is working on original recordings and writing new tunes most every day.

DIVIDED PLAINS:

Divided Plains is a Folsom, California-based
acoustic duo built around the musical partnership of California native John Sharkey and Amsterdam-transplant Nicolette.
A truly genre defying duo, John’s acoustic b-bender artistry weaves around the rich sounds of Nicolette's jumbo 12-string to blend Americana, folk, blues, and rock into a raw, atmospheric and wholly unique sonic experience. by @divided_plains

Divided Plains is at @sweetmusicstudiocafe this Saturday, May 16.
You can also hear us and @fatherfrankunderthecanopy on @kvmr_radio on Lisa M.’s show on Monday May 18th from 8-10pm.
